Guests say

Hunter's Cottage in Pwllheli is a well-regarded holiday let, praised for its cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the quiet, well-maintained site with a pub and fishing lake, and the property's proximity to local attractions. The cottage's kitchen and shower facilities are highlighted, and the presence of free-roaming hens and doves adds charm. Some guests noted outdated furniture and a need for a deep clean, but overall experiences were positive, with many planning to return.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean and fresh. One review mentioned the kitchen units felt greasy and suggested a deep clean, but this seems to be an isolated comment.

The location is ideal for visiting local towns and landmarks, with a quiet holiday park setting. The proximity to a fishing lake and the presence of wildlife are appreciated, although one guest noted it can be a little noisy due to passing traffic.

Guests found the beds comfortable and the property relaxing. However, there were comments about the lounge furniture being low and uncomfortable, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and excellent shower. The presence of a pub and snack van on-site is a bonus. Some guests found the kitchenware to be a mishmash and the furniture not as advertised, indicating some maintenance could enhance the experience.

Guests mentioned thoughtful touches such as milk, biscuits, and eggs provided upon arrival, contributing to a welcoming experience. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, although delightful, are not guaranteed.

Taken as a last minute break, we were impressed to find that Hunters Cottage was a virtual home from home with everything we needed. The cottage was sited on an attractive holiday park without the hype one gets with "national" holiday parks. We were enchanted by a large fishing lake nearby although we didn't take advantage of that facility. We enjoyed the company of doves and hens roaming free throughout our stay. We had our own nominated car park spot outside the cottage and found the location ideal for visiting local towns such as Caernafon and Pwhelli as well as landmarks such as Mount Snowdon and Porthmadog all being within a comfortable driving distance..I would commend this holiday let to anyone who wants to get away from It all, but not be isolated...

On first impressions the cottage appeared good even though the furniture was nothing like the pictures on the website. The kitchen on first inspection was good and had all the equipment needed but the units felt quite greasy and could do with deep clean. The pots, pans etc were quite a mish mash. The bed comfortable and plenty of hot water available. The bathroom was good and spacious with plenty of towels etc.
