Guests enjoyed the local village, beaches, and garden, with some taking delight in the proximity to the beach and local amenities. The property offers a home-from-home experience, though some guests noted issues with maintenance and cleanliness.

Cleanliness received mixed reviews, with some guests finding the property spacious and clean, while others reported issues such as a dirty washing machine, mould, and crumbs on the toaster, indicating room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its incredible views, peaceful surroundings, and proximity to the beach and local village, making it a desirable destination for a relaxing holiday.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the property spacious and the garden enjoyable. However, some concerns were raised about draughtiness and bed sizes, slightly diminishing the overall comfort level.

Facilities and maintenance have been a point of contention, with guests enjoying the views and garden but expressing dissatisfaction with aspects such as an electric fire instead of an open fire, and issues with cleanliness and maintenance of appliances.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

I was very disappointed when we arrived with the cleanliness for example there were crumbs all over the toaster. The open fire was hidden by an electric fire. We found this out after reading another review. There was no starter pack of fuel, no coal bucket and no way of removing the ashes. The cottage was extremely draughty and had no 'welcoming feel'. The living room door would not stay closed and kept 'blowing open' with the draught. The porch smelled awful. We asked for a bulb for the living room lamp but none was supplied. We tried to report that the dishwasher leaked badly but the telephone call was 'disconnected' so we decided not to use it following all the reviews saying how unhelpful the owner was.

We thought the house was perfectly fine but we were very disappointed with the service and quality from the owner. We arrived to instructions that said you can only eat in the kitchen. Not a friendly welcome to the cottage sign, I found it quite rude.As we were unpacking the freezer milk shelf broke off and narrowly missed our 2 year old. After inspecting and talking to the owner, it had clearly been broken previously and a bodged fix put in place as it was 'expensive to replace'. The freezer drawers also needed cleaning as they were covered in iced grime and stank of fish, the owner didn't offer to take over when he was in the house and we had showed him. The rest of the house was clean. It does have an open fire but it's hidden behind an electric fire which you have to move - this is fine but a simple note to explain would have been good. But there were no logs or starter kit and when asking the owner he refused to rectify.Everything and I mean everything was switched off. We had to go round the house turning radiators on, turning the emersion heater on, plug in lamps and extension leads. I get something's are switched off like the oven, but not everything. It took quite a while. All in all, it's a nice house with nice views and with a little bit of proper management and not trying to save pennies it would be a gem. The owner has ruined it.We put in a complaint and cottages.com said the owner hadn't responded - wasn't that surprised.
