Peacefully situated at the end of a quiet country lane, Penrhyn Mawr adjoins the owners’ home just 1.5 miles from the former fishing village of Aberdaron at the tip of the Lleyn Peninsula, a delightful and historic setting for a fabulous sandy beach, cafés, shops and pubs. The lively resort of Pwllheli’s many amenities are a short drive and the Snowdonia National Park, with its wealth of exhilarating outdoor pursuits and family attractions, is also within easy reach.

The cottage was a little more basic than we’re used to but the location is fabulous with amazing views over the sea. It was clean with comfortable beds and good showers. Unfortunately there is no wifi (which we knew beforehand) and the mobile signal is weak. The nearest amenities are just under 2 miles away in the tiny but busy hamlet of Aberdaron, where you can find a Spar, pub and cafes. A car is essential but care is needed on the narrow lanes.

All round excellent property.Some of the best sea views you’ll find.All mod cons you need are in the kitchen, very comfy sofas in the living room and also very comfy beds upstairs.

This was our second stay at Penrhyn Mawr and we had another wonderful holiday. It's a beautiful house with the most amazing views over Aberdaron Bay and out to Bardsey Island. So peaceful and relaxing. Spotlessly clean throughout.The kitchen is fully stocked with decent equipment. A brand new dishwasher was very welcome!Very comfortable beds and good pressure in the showers.I would really recommend this house for anyone wanting a peaceful seaside holiday.
