About this property

Aberdaron 1.8 miles. Seren Fach is a welcoming stone cottage on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales, located just over a mile outside of Aberdaron. Offering off-road parking for one car, rural views and an enclosed garden which encourages outdoor living from morning through to evening. Seren Fach is the end cottage of 5 former forge cottages which form Tai’r Efail. Built from solid stone on the rolling agricultural land of the Llyn Peninsula, Seren Fach has wide open views of hills, fields and farmland. The beautiful views can be enjoyed both from the garden and large upstairs windows. Inside, exposed beams and stonework add character to the living spaces, blending perfectly with practical, up-to-date features.

There is a cozy sitting room, complete with log burner and board games for the perfect getaway, whatever the weather, whilst the kitchen/diner with sofa and tv supports easy holiday routines, from laid-back breakfasts to shared evening meals. The kitchen is fully equipped including oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and all the cooking utensils you could need. There is also a ground-floor toilet. Accessed off the landing with exposed stone wall features, are three bedrooms offering flexibility for families or groups. All the bedrooms have rural views, wooden floors, a wardrobe and dressing table with tasteful furnishings and bedding. The master bedroom is light and airy with a vaulted ceiling and open beams, a large king-sized bed with a wall-mounted TV.

At the front of the house, there is a double bedroom with exposed beams and a wall-mounted TV. At the rear of the house is a single bedroom which has beautiful views over the fields. The bathroom serves the 3 bedrooms and features a bath, with shower over, basin and WC. The garden is accessed by French doors from the dining room onto a wooden decked area and slate patio. There is a large garden sofa, coffee table and firepit. Beyond is a lawned area with mature trees and views over the fields. The garden is fenced and enclosed and can also be accessed from the drive via a secure side gate.

Off-road parking is available for one car, but parking on the lane is also available. The nearby village of Aberdaron offers a memorable coastal setting, centred around its well-known church and a long sandy beach that curves gently along the shoreline. Days here can be spent wandering between welcoming pubs with restaurants, browsing the village convenience store, or stopping at cafés, pizza spots and ice cream parlours during the warmer months, with the added treat of a log-fired beach sauna close to the shore. A National Trust centre and multiple car parks make it easy to explore the area, while the village sits directly on the Welsh Coastal Path, opening up opportunities for scenic coastal walks and boat trips out to Bardsey Island.

With the coast close at hand, the area naturally lends itself to relaxed seaside days, balanced with time back at the cottage, whether that means enjoying the garden or settling in beside the woodburning stove as evening draws in. The location also makes it easy to discover other beautiful beaches along the peninsula, including Porthor, known for its whistling sands, along with Porth Lago and Porthdinllaen, all offering their own distinctive character. Stepping straight out from the property, the Welsh Coastal Path invites exploration on foot, leading towards places such as Porth Ysgo, a secluded pebbly beach reached along a gentle stretch of coast.

The area is also well placed for surfing at Porth Neigwl, widely known as Hells Mouth, and lies on a popular cycling route. Further afield, the resorts of Abersoch and Nefyn attract visitors with sandy beaches, coastal walks and waterside places to eat, while the larger towns of Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog offer marinas, beaches, independent shops, supermarkets with delivery options, cafés, restaurants and promenade walks along the seafront. After days spent discovering North Wales, Seren Fach offers a relaxing peaceful and inviting place to return.

This busy market town is the unofficial capital of the Llyn Peninsula which is one of the most scenic regions of Wales, renowned for its outstanding scenery, stunning coastal walks, excellent beaches and golf courses. This traditional seaside town offers a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and an impressive marina holding 400 boats. The town boasts two beaches, one with the Blue Flag Award and is renowned for its sailing and watersports. Close by are Criccieth, with its medieval castle, and popular Abersoch, a pretty harbour town also renowned for its wonderful beaches and watersports facilities. Much of the peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a lot of the coastline is owned by the National Trust providing many remote bays, sandy beaches and exciting clifftop walks, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island. Discover all of Snowdonia, the Isle of Anglesey, many medieval castles and N.T. properties and gardens, or simply relax in this beautiful part of Wales.
