It’s a working farm, and a farm house, not a new sparkling new place more a welcoming comfortable environment in a rural quiet area. Brilliant for me and just what I wanted !!

My sons and I booked a week at Ty hen , it is an older type farmhouse which has been modernised in the kitchen to a very high standard. However while it has its charm the living room and stairs in particular leave much to be desired, no power sockets in the living room apart from those used for the tv, sadly the sofa and chairs while well used were just not comfortable. And the foot stool top was split and loosing its foam. The stairs were covered in pet hair and smelled noticeably of damp dog. As for the beds, think uncomfortable and oddly heavy and uncomfortable pillows (we bought some to use from a shop in a town we visited) As a base it’s fine, basic, but to spend any length of time in, not so much. Not least because the WiFi dvd player etc often didn’t work. Not a big deal during the daytime but of an evening we’d have liked to watch the tv. However we made the most of it, but left Friday instead of Saturday. The host Brenda was very friendly and we appreciated the eggs, milk, cookies etc. and we all totally fell in love with the farm dog Meg, who is just adorable.

Comfy cottage on a busy working farm.Basic, warm and clean, with everything you need. A lovely welcome pack of eggs, milk, wine and biscuits and enough coal for a few fires. Lots of gorgeous beaches and walks around and a spar in Aberdaron and Llanbedrog and a lovely cafe just up the lane at Felin Uchaff. Brenda and her family were lovely.
