Another lovely stay at Ty Hir. Very relaxing, spacious cottage with beautiful coastal walks from the doorstep and lovely beach at Porth Ysgo. A great base from which to explore the coastline.

Had a long weekend at Ty Hir. Cottage was lovely with everything you could need for a holiday. Nice addition of a bottle of wine, coffee and some biscuits on arrival. On the website the description states the bathroom is upstairs. It's not it's downstairs which is a bonus because the steep wooden stairs could be a problem for anyone with even minor mobility issues.Cottage is in a very quiet location with lovely countryside all around. Nearest amenities are about 2 miles away although, maybe because it was the weekend before Easter, we were disappointed that apart from the two pubs and the Spar shop the other shops were either not open not open every day or closed early.Had a couple of meals at the Gwesty Ty Newydd hotel which were nice, especially when you could sit out on the terrace overlooking the sea as we did on one of the visits. If you like walking take the track down the side of the cottage and turn left just before a farmhouse and follow the marked footpath through another farm to where it joins the Wales Coast Path with great views over the coastline.Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful break in Ty Hir. The weather wasn't great , but the cottage didn't let us down. It was clean, cosy and spacious. Some really thoughtful touches and things to make the stay extra special. The beds were comfy and the shower and bath were amazing! The underfloor heating was so lovely and there was plenty of hot water. The location was fabulous, just up the road from Aberdaron where there is a great beach, some pubs, a fish and chip shop, a fabulous bakery and a Spar. The setting is peaceful and has lovely views. Janys communicated well throughout our stay. Thanks so much for a wonderful break 😊
