This converted garage loft space is unique, offering open plan living and sleeping accommodation on the first floor of the garage. It comprises a double bed and ample seating, including two futons that can be used for additional sleeping when required. There is wifi and a Smart TV for your entertainment and all the facilities you need for your break. The sleek shower room offers ‘his and hers’ sinks on the first floor, and there is a toilet on the ground floor. Cooking and washing facilities, as well as a breakfast bar, can be found on the ground floor garage area, and there is ample space for storing bikes or other sports equipment too. The ground floor level is not climatized for the winter period, however there are two fix radiators and another two infra-red heaters to remediate the low temperature days.
Located in the village of Glynneath, this accommodation has everything you need on your doorstep. The village has a shop, cafés, takeaways and plenty of local independent pubs and restaurants to choose from. But the main attraction is the local walks and waterfalls. Known as ‘Waterfall Country’, the area boasts many popular routes to explore the local falls with a range of challenges and distances there’s plenty for all to explore.
Sitting on the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), the area is ideal for mountain biking and hiking breaks with endless trails and is popular for climbers, with the nearby Dinas Rock a hotspot! Further afield, South Wales boasts a diverse landscape with countryside, coastlines and cities all within easy reach! Swansea is just 30 minutes drive away, and the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty can be reached in under an hour.

Plenty of space for a single person or a couple. I used this as a base to set off from as a walker (April 2026) - Waterfall Country is close by, then you've got the Beacons to the north or the Gower, one hour's drive away. Plus lesser-explored woodland areas all around. A good base for someone who also enjoys mountain or gravel bike riding, I imagine.Glynneath had also the basic amenities you'd need. In the garage downstairs, along with the kitchen, there's a working washing machine and tumble dryer (weather was poor during my stay so that tumble dryer was very useful).A few points to note. In the kitchen, there's an air fryer but no regular oven. I found it to be quite draughty downstairs, with the main door poorly fitted. But the infra-red heaters do work well. There's a small leak in the downstairs toilet, while the tiling looks unfinished and needs grouting.Upstairs, everything in the bathroom works well. I found the additional heaters were necessary in the evening to have a comfortable temperature. There's also a box of blankets for added comfort. I'm a carpenter so, I'm going to be picky about the finish of some of the skirting and architrave! But that doesn't really affect the quality of the stay. I've previously paid the same money elsewhere for a similar flat that's been finished to a higher standard, that's all.I'd stay here again and would recommend it to others. Perhaps not in winter though, where I imagine the garage/kitchen area would be very cold, even with those heaters. It's easy to find, parking in front and with two recycling bins.

Stayed here for 3nights as a solo traveller. Was t in too much as had lots friends to see and things to do. So was a place to sleep and base to go from really. Place was very clean and had everything you need. Local bakery,co op,spar and pub (5min) walk away..........bedroom was lovely and nice bathroom. I ate out everyday so didn't really use the kitchen. It is mentioned in its description that kitchen area can get abit cold so I've no complaints. Upstairs has variable heaters if needed. Overall for the price was very happy with my stay
