Wernddu Fechan House is just a fabulous, perfect space for friends and families to get together in this spacious, luxurious property, with a sizeable living room with a large TV, perfect for those movie nights in! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including a Ninja blender, smoothie maker, and a Tassimo coffee machine. There is a separate dining room, with a table that can accommodate up to 14 guests. There’s also a huge games room with a ¾ size snooker/pool table fitted with professional match cloth, an exercise bike, dining table for six people and a 65" Smart TV, Sky TV, perfect for the kids whilst the adults are entertaining themselves.
All upstairs bedrooms have TVs and en-suites – who will choose the master bedroom with its super kingsize bed and huge en-suite with walk-in shower and spa bath? For your comfort there are digital thermostats in each room downstairs apart from the kitchen, upstairs has individual thermostatic radiator valves. There is a large patio area outside to the front of the property and to the rear is a private hot tub, patio area and grassed garden. The property sits within 10 acres of land. It would make a perfect venue for a unique, exclusive wedding celebration or a corporate retreat.
Both Neath town centre and Swansea are easily accessible, being approximately 4-5 miles from the property.
The Neath Valley in South Wales is an increasingly popular area for UK holidays. The location lends itself well to those looking to explore the diverse countryside of the area. With cycle paths and walking trails on your doorstep, there is plenty to explore.
The valley is home to some of Wales’s most impressive waterfalls, including Aberdulais, Melincourt at Resolven, Pontneddfechan and Sgwd yr Eira. Impressive hills will keep you busy, head to Afan Forest Park, 20 minutes away, for hilly bike trails or Penyfan in the Brecon Beacons, which is the tallest peak in South Wales.
For family fun days out, the National Showcaves Centre for Wales at Dan yr Ogof, The National Botanic Gardens, Folly Farm, quad biking, and Zip World are firm favourites in the area. Aberavon beach is 8½ miles away, or visit the famous beaches of the Gower Peninsula, The Mumbles and Swansea Bay are all within 40 minutes or less. Pendine Sands, Tenby, Carmarthen, Bridgend (McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village), Cardiff, Newport and Prince of Wales Stadium are all within an hour’s drive. The Penderyn Whisky distillery is under 30 minutes away where tours are available. Multiple local golf courses are available as is some of the best salmon and sewin (seatrout) fishing in the UK on the rivers Towy, Teifi, Gwilli and Cothi, a personal ghillie can even be arranged for you. It is a perfect base for anyone wishing to fish the Golden Grove or Abercothi Estates waters. Other coarse and flyfishing lakes and reservoirs are also available. Horse riding with a local equestrian centre is also available.
All in all, you could not find a more centrally located place for a holiday in South Wales.

The layout of the home was very nice & we liked the open plan downstairs. All of the bedrooms were good sizes & nicely decorated. However, we did encounter some disappointing issues during our stay. The bedroom pillows were very flat & there was a large dip in the mattress in one of the bedrooms. There was a corner unit in the downstairs bedroom that wasn’t secured to the wall & fell on more than one of us when touched which is quite dangerous as it is large & heavy. The corner sofa in the lounge was ripped behind the cushions & some cushions had stuffing coming out of them as the zip was broken. The biggest issue was that for a house that accommodated 12 people there was no tumble dryer, with wet weather it was very difficult to get laundry dry. There were 2 clothes horses but one was very bent. As we struggled to get laundry dry we took all of the towels to the laundromat, as we left to pop to the shops when we returned all of the towels had been stolen. We contacted the owner to let them know they’d been stolen who was going to talk to their partner but we never heard back from them again, we ended up purchasing our own towels. We felt the whole home needs some TLC, there were many marks on the wall & cracked tiles. The advert states the home is on 10 acres of land but this is not accessible, it also states you can use the land to the left of the property but it’s so overgrown it cannot be accessed. We were only able to use the courtyard area as the grassed area at the back was so boggy. The lovely lotto treehouse at the front that the children were so desperate to play in couldn’t be accessed due to its poor and unsafe condition. The back garden would benefit from a bbq and more modern seating. We acquired a lot of general rubbish among 12 people but the outside bin was very small & it was inconvenient having to walk with so much rubbish off the property to access the outside bins, it would be much easier if they were outside see the property. The welcome pack was very poor consisting of only a couple of things. The coffee machine was full of limescale & could not be used.
