This delightful semi-detached cottage is the perfect rural retreat for a family of four who wants to be close to the action but also enjoys a slice of peaceful countryside. This cosy cottage features a beautiful log burner, a Rayburn and stone walls, showcasing the historic elements of this fantastic property. Despite being modest in size, this little gem offers ample comfortable sleeping and living space, with contemporary surprises such as the luxury family bathroom and fantastic galley kitchen to the rear of the property. There's more than enough outdoor space, too, with an outdoor seating area, a large fire pit area beyond and plenty of lawned space for stretching the legs. This is a true taste of North Pembrokeshire, inside and out!
With open-plan living space, cosy bedrooms, and plenty of opportunities to sit in the sea air, this pretty stone cottage offers a comfortable stay and an extraordinary experience that you won't want to miss. The mixture of contemporary amenities and traditional features meld perfectly together to form a homely feel from bygone times...but with mod cons!
Coming through the light and airy porch area, you're greeted with the option of sitting on comfortable sofas next to the open fireplace, the perfect spot to read a book or plan out your route for walks, or sitting at the traditional country dining table, all surrounded by the exposed stone that was used to build this superb property over 200 years ago.
The family bathroom has a distinctly different feel - it's surprisingly modern for a property of this age, with sleek tiled walls, a large walk-in shower, WC and wash hand basin with a heated towel rail. This is the perfect space for washing sand off after a day at the beach or soaking your bones after a hike to one of the amazing spots along this stretch of North Pembrokeshire coast path.
The kitchen is located at the rear of the property in what is a modern addition to the property and has all the amenities you would need from your stay away from home. The star of the show in this room is the fantastic Rayburn to complete the country kitchen feel, as well as a small breakfast table and a door leading out onto the outdoor patio dining area and separate fire pit beyond.
But if you're looking for a property that feels as if it's out of a classic countryside tale, then it's upstairs at this property that has that wow factor. As this was originally a one-and-a-half-story cottage, both the double room and the twin room opposite it are nestled under the exposed eaves, reminiscent of something from a Hardy novel. Wake up in the morning to birdsong and sea breeze, with light streaming through the dormer windows flooding these cosy bedrooms in golden sunlight. Who wouldn't want to wake up here?
With off-road parking in the private, gated side access, plenty of outside space, seating area, a fire pit, and safe access to the front of the property, this gorgeous cottage could be shared by two couples or a small family of 4. We're sure whoever stays here with you will be delighted by this quaint countryside holiday retreat.
