Situated on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park in the hamlet of Trecastle, Coachingmans Cottage is a wonderful 300 year two bedroomed home sleeping up to 4 people.
Recently refurbished to 5-star quality, this historic cottage has retained all of its genuine character and charm whilst providing modern lifeâs essentials and luxuries. It boasts traditional windows and an inglenook fireplace which houses a lovely wood burner to keep you warm on chilly evenings. The house is finished with chic decor to match the style, and is very homely and welcoming, with a Welsh dresser, farmhouse dining table and good quality beds and linen. There is a small enclosed back courtyard with slate shale on the floor and a small outdoor seating area.
The homely living area has exposed oak beams and the most comfortable sofa's to welcome you after a long journey or a day out in the hills on foot. Unwind in front of the log burner with a book, or relax with a film from the large collection of movies provided. The 40 inch smart TV has over 200 Sky channels and Blu-ray, so you can watch your favourite programmes too.
There are a host of outdoor delights on offer nearby. The Brecon Beacons are perfect for adventurous souls who seek the isolation of the wild rolling hills, cascading waterfalls and romantic castle ruins. Wander across the mystical Welsh landscapes, follow the grassy footpaths to discover spectacular hilltop views.
The large village of Sennybridge is 2 miles away, and approximately 9 miles west of the historic market town of Brecon.
There is a pub close by but is currently closed, we will update this listing once it opens again. In the meantime, the nearest pub is 2 miles away in Sennybridge.

The master bedroom is decorated with oak furniture and the most luxurious king-size bed and deluxe bedding. Wall-mounted TV / DVD player. Window seat.
**A second bedroom is a super king-size bed or 2 luxury singles. The bed will be made up as a Superking by default so please specify on booking if you need twin beds. Wall-mounted TV / DVD player and good quality oak furniture.
The warm, pristine family bathroom on the 1st floor contains a bath with an overhead electric shower, chrome heated radiator, washbasin and WC, a roof window treats you to views over the nearby rolling hills and mountains.
The spacious homely living/lounge area has original exposed oak beams and super comfortable sofa's to welcome you to this warm cottage. Unwind in front of the log burner with a book or relax with a film from the large collection of movies provided. A Starter basket of logs provided for log burner more can be purchased locally.
Electric heating throughout is fully inclusive. The dining area has seating for 4 and a large electric fire.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped with all the cooking pots, utensils & crockery you could need. As there is no mains gas, an electric ceramic hob and modern timer/fan oven are used for cooking. There is also a modern dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge/freezer.
High chair, stair gates, cot, baby bath, and baby mat provided.
Outside there is a small, enclosed west facing outdoor area views. An outside table and chairs are provided for your use, as is a BBQ with all the relevant utensils.
On arrival, you’ll find a generous welcome hamper on the oak dining table, with local Welsh cheese, wine and Welsh cakes.
Parking - although no allocated parking, the hamlet is very quiet and there is ample parking outside the cottage in the quiet street or in the nearby large lay-by.
