Set off on a nostalgic ride on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway (14.5 miles), home to steam locomotives and coaches from all over the world, or head into Powis (5.5 miles) to explore its iconic castle and gardens. For a cycle ride, the beautiful Montgomery Canal Towpath and Llyn Coed y Dinas Nature Reserve are both 3.5 miles.
