Spacious and welcoming Willow House invites you to sit back and relax amongst friends and family. Sleeps 8 or combine with adjoining Tarka House to sleep 17.

Willow House sleeping up to 8 adults overlooks the Wye Vallely on the edge of the Black Mountains and The Brecon Beacons National Park. This spacious house is an ideal base for families and friends alike. Welcoming travellers since Cromwellian times when in the 17th Century it was one of the first Protestant meeting houses. Recently fully renovated, but retaining many original features such as log burners and mullioned windows.

Farmers for generations your hosts are the custodians of this land, they have installed a wood pellet central heating system run entirely on the wood gathered on the farm and all water comes from their own borehole, the taste and purity is fantastic and eco-friendly too.

The large sitting room, on the First Floor, has a generous wood burner with free logs from the woodland that surrounds the farm and a flat-screen TV. Oak floorboards, squashy sofas, and room for everybody. Conveniently the stairs lead down to the bedrooms from here.

The kitchen/diner on the first floor takes maximum advantage of the wonderful valley and mountain views. Fully equipped for large family meals. There is a patio area just right for BBQs. With families and friends in mind, the owners have created a snug room with deep leather L shape sofa with a Flat-screen TV and DVD player adjacent to the kitchen/dining area, the buzz of conversation flows back and for to include the busy cook. There are many quality gastro pubs nearby too.

To maximise the far reaching views the house is 'upside down'. Four bedrooms on the ground floor cater for all tastes. There is Master Suite with king size bed with an En-Suite bathroom. A double bedroom and two further linked twin/king bedrooms, which can be made up to suit your parties exacting needs. There are two bathrooms on this floor. Try the extra large baths for a soak to remember, you have time to treat yourself.

There is no garden here, it is better than that, wilder and so much bigger. Wonder the farms hundreds of acres looking over the Wye Valley, marvel at the blood-red sunsets, they are famous and consistent here. Take a BBQ feast up to the wooded hillside where your hosts have provided a firepit and comfortable seating. Evenings can draw out deep into the night in this tranquil spot. Stars will light your happy weary way to bed.

Just minutes from Hay on Wye - the 'Town of Books' Willow House is nestled between the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park- try canoeing on the Wye, the helpful folk at River Cafe will drop you off and you can float back at your own pace. Faster paced sport is available too, climbing, potholing, mountain biking are all close by, you are never far from an exhilarating sport in Hay.

The internationally renowned Literary Festival held annually in Hay on Wye has meant that the town has evolved into a vibrant, creative place. There are many specialist bookshops, many and varied shops and some very good restaurants and gastro pubs, not to mention cafes, there is even a Tapas Bar - delicious Hay Castle dating from the 12th Century sits above the town and is currently under massive rejuvenation. Hay is a place you can really can visit time again and still find something new and different.
