Built in the 1750’s, this charming semi-detached cottage offers a rustic and comfortable feel, with a cosy wood burner and lovingly furnished accommodation. . Ground Floor:

Kitchen/dining room: With double oven cooker with ceramic top, microwave, , dishwasher and Freeview TV.
Utility room: With washing machine and fridge/freezer.
Shower room: With shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail. . First Floor:

This lovely semi-detached, period cottage has been renovated in 2019 to a high standard and is in keeping with the character of the property, retaining many original features. Nestled within the rolling countryside of Montgomeryshire, the cottage is not far from the small, historic town of Llanidloes.
The property comprises an open plan kitchen/dining room, with a utility room and a downstairs shower room. The living room boasts a fabulous fire place with a wood burner, great for those chillier nights, and leads out to a terrace with garden furniture, a great little sun spot. To the rear of the property is a small enclosed lawned area, an ideal space for dogs to enjoy. The upstairs of the property has a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a family bathroom with a bath and a shower cubicle.
There are plenty of walks to be had in the area. Visit Clywedog Reservoir, a must see, where there are some fabulous views of the dams and countryside to be had. Llanidloes has an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants. The Minerva Arts Centre can be found here which is home to The Welsh Quilt Association. Laura Ashley had her very first shop here in Llanidloes. Whatever you decide to do on your holiday, Smithy will be a great base to return to after a busy day. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
