There are some lovely nearby walks to enjoy, following the public footpaths, the riverbanks of the Cain and Vyrnwy, and the shores of Lake Vyrnwy. For keen walkers, you’ll also be within easy reach of the Clwydian Range and the long-distance Offa’s Dyke Path. For shopping and eating out, the market towns of Owestry and Welshpool are within 10 miles. Nearby family days out/attractions include the National Trust’s Powis Castle and Garden (11 miles), with its magnificent Italian and French-style floral displays, and the heritage steam trains of the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway (9 miles).
