As day turns to night, you have a single day bed in the lounge, plus a separate double bedroom to retire to for a well-earned rest before tomorrow’s big adventure. Discover the remarkable landscape of the surrounding Cambrian Mountains and the countless countryside activities such as walking with your dogs, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding and birdwatching on offer at Llanwrtyd Wells (4.5 miles), the smallest town in Britain. For horse riders, there is stabling available at the property and several beautiful trails and bridleways nearby to explore horseback, by bike or on foot; keep a look out for old Roman roads, ancient standing stones and plenty of wildlife along your journey. On the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, head 15.5 south-west to the charming town of Llandovery to explore its maze of independent shops and restaurants showcasing the best local produce this area has to offer.
