Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and fuel for wood burner included. Welcome pack. Grounds with patio, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Hot tub (private). 1 pet welcome, paid on arrival (£20), to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: This property has a natural water supply via well.. Located in the heart of mid-Wales’ most stunning scenery and only a short distance to Snowdonia National Park. Cowlas is a gorgeous location for a romantic couple’s retreat, or a getaway for a small family. Guests can get acquainted with nature with picturesque views across the rural Welsh scenery. Sit out under the stars and enjoy the private hot tub, ready on arrival. Or relax on the outdoor seating, including a veranda with ambient lighting and leafy plants and you can instantly feel at ease.
Cowlas has been tastefully decorated with rustic wood accents. Featuring two bedrooms, a double ground floor bedroom with views across the valley, where guests can enjoy an undisturbed night of rest within the Welsh countryside, and a second loft twin bedroom suitable for children (this room has low head room and certain guests may not have the height to stand). The bathroom hosts a double shower in which guests can unwind. With central heating and a cosy wood burner to provide warmth during the winter months, Cowlas is the perfect bolthole all year-round. Outside, the large veranda is an ideal location to enjoy a morning coffee whilst sampling the fresh country air.
If you can be drawn away from the lodge to explore the area, only four miles away is Machynlleth. With local artisan shops, independent cafes, and local crafts to see and a weekly market, it’s a real community. Cowlas is also within easy reach of the coast at Borth and Aberdyfi, as well as Cadair Idris and Dolgellau, ideal for walkers and cyclists. It’s 15 minutes or so to Dyfi Ospreys, Ynyshir rspb, Talyllyn Railway. Follow local footpaths and cycle routes and see nature at its best with Red Kites soaring in the skies above. Beach 19½ miles.
The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply.

Such a beautiful place to stay a few days, with lovely views. We had heavy rain during our stay and it was the perfect place to stay holed up with a cup of tea, very warm and comfortable inside with great facilities. The hot tub is lovely and private for a nice dip looking over the hillsides. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic remote cabin! Followed the host (Ebrill's) directions and had no trouble finding it, she was there to meet us briefly on arrival, very nice lady. She lives in the farm which is located further up the private lane, you can't see or hear anything at the farm from the cabin itself as it faces the opppsite direction. Very tranquil scenery and you can go walking around their fields and beyond - would be a great place to write a novel or get some work done in absolute solitude. We came for a couples break for 3 nights which was perfect. Very stormy when we stayed (made it great for horror movies by fireside), but had some days of sun which gives glorious views of surrounding hills/valleys. The hot tub is also completely private and is the icing on the cake! Will certainly stay again, it's got great qualities for each and very season!

We wanted a few days away from it all and this didn't disappoint us! Secluded and peaceful, with beautiful surrounding views including southern Snowdonia. The fully equipped kitchen was well used, as we catered for ourselves the whole time. The log burner, hot tub and smart T.V. were cosy luxuries. The cabin is spacious enough and very warm, it get's completely dark at night and all you can hear, if anything, will be sounds of nature. Our host was friendly and informative and then left us to it, asuring us that she was there if we needed anything. We would recommend this place thoroughly and return in a heartbeat - we didn't want to come home.
