Guests say

Yew Tree Cottage receives glowing praise for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and outstanding hospitality from the owners, Joan and Richard. Guests consistently highlight the cottage’s cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities, as well as the friendly local community and excellent pub next door. The location is ideal for exploring Mid Wales, with easy access to local attractions. While privacy may be limited due to the proximity of the pub garden, the positives far outweigh any minor drawbacks, making this a highly recommended choice for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Cleanliness is frequently mentioned as a standout feature, with guests describing the cottage as spotless, well-maintained, and extremely comfortable. No negative comments regarding cleanliness were noted.

The location is praised for its peaceful village setting and convenience for exploring local attractions such as Powis Castle and the Llanfair Steam Railway. The only minor drawback mentioned is the limited public transport, but this does not detract from the overall positive impression.

Guests repeatedly mention the comfort of the beds, spacious bedrooms, and cosy atmosphere. The cottage is described as homely and warm, with both upstairs and downstairs bedrooms catering to different needs, including accessibility.

The cottage is well-equipped with everything needed for a self-catering holiday, including spacious bathrooms and a well-appointed kitchen. Facilities are suitable for families, couples, and guests with mobility needs. A few minor suggestions for improvement (such as extra towels or a lamp) were noted but did not significantly impact guest satisfaction.

The owners are repeatedly described as exceptionally thoughtful and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Home-cooked meals and assistance with accessibility are frequently mentioned, though it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed for every stay.

..Available, friendly; and accommodating. Comfortable bed, spacious living space, well appointed kitchen. (Gentle suggestion..a tea towel or two and washing up liquid would be welcomed additions for cleanup). Would absolutely stay again in this quiet, comfortable cottage.
