It is well positioned for the more adventurous travellers as well, with trail walking and cycle routes being so close to suit every ability. With golf, castles, and the Shropshire Hills all available locally, there is endless amounts of activities to choose from.
Forden is in the middle of Welshpool and Montgomery. Montgomery, with its medieval street layout, imposing Town Hall, and mix of Georgian, Victorian, and timber framed buildings, it’s a place where time seems to stand still. The lodge is lovely with a fabulous view, it is well equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday.Unfortunately, it needs a good fettle, it smelled a little musty when we arrived and we had to open the windows to air it out and the bedrooms were full of cobwebs

Could do with more cutlery and crockery to load the dishwasher better safe water!Disappointed the hot tub was not working all week, kept cutting out on the heating.

Lovely place to stay. Just remote enough but 10 min from shops. What a view to wake up to and watch the sunset from the Hot Tub. Host very friendly and easy to contact. Couple of minor issues sorted immediately. Will be coming back, thank you.
