Guests consistently praise the Gwernol cottage for its idyllic location in Dolwyddelan, perfect for exploring Snowdonia with scenic walks right from the doorstep. The property is described as clean, cosy, and well-equipped, offering a homely atmosphere with an open fire and woodburner. The local pub and friendly village add to the charm, though some guests noted the sofas and beds could be more comfortable. Overall, the cottage is highly regarded as a peaceful retreat with beautiful surroundings.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'very clean' and 'spotlessly clean'. This suggests that guests are generally very satisfied with the level of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its easy access to Snowdonia, local hikes, and a welcoming pub. Its proximity to a train station and the peaceful setting in a beautiful village contribute to the high score.

While the cottage is described as cosy and homely, there are several comments about the sofas and beds being 'a little tired' and 'lumpy', indicating that comfort could be improved, hence the slightly lower score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, open fire, and woodburner. However, some guests noted that the shower was not very powerful and the furniture was a bit worn, which slightly affects the score.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Wonderful location to explore Snowdonia. Beautiful home, tastefully decorated but still homely.

Lovely cosy cottage in an idyllic location. Perfect for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales. We absolutely loved our stay here. Very well equipped, very clean and most importantly for us - pet friendly. The village of Dolwyddelan is beautiful. The neighbours were friends and there is a lovely pub a few minutes walk from the cottage which served good food with a friendly welcome - the pub was pet friendly too! The only very minor criticism we had was the comfort of the sofas and beds - they're a bit tired and past their best comfort but this certainly wouldn't prevent us from coming back.

Its an amazing cottage thats got a lot of history and photos on the wall that show that. The location is great and stunning and very peaceful. There is a small garden and a small wall, So not somewhere you can let the dog out alone. There are two pubs nearby that one that opens when it feels like it and the other the owners were in Cyprus while we stayed so it was closed most of the week. The two days it was open, it was great food, very welcoming and recommended. This one is by the spar. The cottage is very tidy and clean, radiators and open fires you can use. The locals are very friendly and welcoming and we liked it there so much we booked to come back for new year. Nothing is ever perfect but this cottage made us feel at home straight away, very close to Betsy which has all you need and the best walks surrounding it, you dont have to drive and if you do there is so much to do. A true gem
