About this property

Pen Y Felin is a charming, single-storey cottage, nestled on the edges of Rowen village within the spectacular Conwy Valley, North Wales. It is the ideal place to bring your loved ones for a holiday with a difference. With plenty of outdoor activities and many delightful villages and market towns to explore in the surrounding areas, you and the family can get stuck into a refreshing break near the coast. The interior has been thoughtfully presented, all on ground floor with a well-appointed kitchen/diner making the most of the patio doors letting in plenty of natural light. Gather around the dining table and enjoy each other's company as you tuck into a mouth-watering meal, before moving through to the lounge to relax by the fire. Later, rest your head in the master bedroom, with views across the valley and ample storage, while the other two bedrooms will also make you feel right at home. There is one en-suite shower room, as well as a bathroom to finish the interior, and outside you have your very own large enclosed garden with a lawn area that's great for the kids to enjoy with the dog, while you relax on the decking with a glass of your favourite tipple and countryside views. Nearby is a local pub in the village of Rowen, while you also have the National Trust's Bodnant Gardens, Bodnant Welsh Food, with a farm shop, restaurant and coffee bar, as well as the National Beekeeping Centre. The Conwy Valley is an intriguing area, carpeted in rich farmland with the River Conwy running through, a fabulous region for walks and exploring. Visit Betws-y-Coed, with its railway museum and famous Swallow Falls, Capel Curig village, home of Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre and Conwy, with its historic castle and a plethora of fascinating attractions amidst a bustling atmosphere. There are plenty more seaside resorts and charming villages and market towns to fill your time in an area of stunning natural beauty. With tumbling waterfalls, mountain lakes and a beautiful stretch of the North Wales coast to discover, how can you miss out on stay at this delightful holiday home?

Situated within the Snowdonia National Park, this beautiful village stands amidst the tranquil countryside of the lovely Conwy Valley. Steeped in history, the village is well-known amongst walkers and ramblers for its charming white-washed stone cottages and pretty gardens and for its renowned mountain trail, which climbs to 1400ft following the old Roman road across scenic mountains and moorland, ending at the stunning Aber Falls. Only 4 miles away is delightful Conwy, a World Heritage Site dominated by its splendid castle and completely enclosed in its well-preserved town walls. There's plenty to enjoy in Conwy - the picturesque fishing harbour, Plas Mawr, one of the best preserved medieval town houses in the country, the National Trust's Aberconwy House, Britain's "smallest house" (worth an interesting, if quick, visit) as well as the town's shops, pubs and restaurants nestling along the narrow and winding streets. Close by are excellent beaches, world famous Bodnant Gardens, Victorian Llandudno and stunning Betws-y-Coed.
