Minafon is a spacious and characterful family holiday home in a fantastic Aberdovey location, offering beautiful sea views and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Guests particularly enjoyed the ample space, homely touches, and proximity to local amenities and attractions. While the property is well-equipped and ideal for families, some guests noted areas for improvement in cleanliness, storage, and maintenance. Despite these minor issues, most visitors had a relaxing and enjoyable stay, making the most of the house’s charm and the vibrant local area.
Several guests mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as dirty dishes, bathroom floors, and leftover towels. However, others found the property warm and welcoming, suggesting that standards may vary. Overall, cleanliness was a recurring concern but did not prevent guests from enjoying their stay.
The location was consistently praised as fantastic, with guests appreciating the sea views, proximity to the town, and easy access to local amenities. The only minor drawback was parking, which was resolved by the owner.
Guests found the house spacious, warm, and comfortable, with plenty of room for families. Some noted draughty windows and slightly shabby furniture, but overall comfort was rated highly.
The property is well-equipped and has ample space, but some guests found kitchen storage limited due to owners’ belongings, and noted maintenance issues with the patio and windows. Facilities are good but could benefit from some updates and clearer information.
Guests mentioned a lack of welcome pack and information about bins and rubbish collection. No gifts or special touches were noted, and communication about key codes was occasionally delayed. Thoughtfulness could be improved with more guest-focused details.

Location was great for being in the centre of Aberdovey, beach was lovely. The property overall has great potential but overall was very poor. Prior to arrival there was no communication of the key safe code & we had to chase repeatedly for this. When we arrived at the property, there is a lack of information on parking, check-out, bins, general information on the area etc. The biggest thing that let this property down for us was the cleanliness - for a property that is described as luxury it is anything but!!! We arrived on the Saturday night & by Sunday morning a member of our party spotted a mouse in the living room of the property - on further investigation there was mouse droppings all over the property, mainly located in the living room but also in different rooms near to the chimney. This was reported 3 times to the property manager/owner during our stay but no one came out to the property as they promised they would to review the situation. My advice would be to stay elsewhere, there are some gorgeous properties in the town.

We had a lovely family holiday here. The house was lovely and warm, plenty of space. It was very characterful and felt a bit like you were staying in a friend's rather smart holiday home, with family pictures and memories around. Some of the furniture a bit shabby. I loved it, but may not be to everyone's taste. A lovely place for families, Hide and Seek kept the kids busy. The town a warm welcoming place. We had a supermarket shop delivered but most things available locally. Great butchers! Crab fishing cost nothing and kept kids busy for hours. Agents were very late sending key code, but we were in in time. A relaxing holiday, where adults spent hours just gazing at the sea from the windows.
