Great family holiday home, fantastic location, well equipped. On the negative side we felt the cleaning team could have been more thorough and where were the bins and recycling boxes?Overall very happy

Lovely house in a great location but for a property described as luxury it needs a lot of work. The cleanliness was not great with dirty bathroom floors and old towels left behind, some of the crockery was dirty. We had to stuff newspaper in the front windows as there were large gaps through which the wind howled and made room cold. There was no room in a lot of the wardrobes and drawers for us to store our clothes as full of the owners items. As were the cupboards in kitchen full of their food stuffs and alcohol so no room for our food to be stored. There was no welcome pack or information about bins and rubbish collections. The promised parking permits had expired and although the owner sorted us some parking in the fire station car park this was a 10 minute walk away and not ideal with 2 elderly guests with us. Despite this the house is in a lovely location and we did enjoy our week. Cottages.com were receptive to the issues we had and it was resolved with them satisfactorily for which we were grateful. This could be an amazing house with a bit of work and then well worth the high rental cost.

Unfortunately the house was not clean as usual, the kitchen was unsorted and a lot of dirty dishes. The outside patio need some maintenance and cleaning too. It would be helpful if we get some information for rubbish collection and general infos about the house and village. All together we managed the issue and had a great time
