Railway Cottage in Fairbourne is a spacious and cosy property with comfortable beds and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests have enjoyed the peaceful location, proximity to the beach, and the occasional sight of trains passing by. The cottage's gardens and the welcome pack have been appreciated, although some guests noted areas for improvement in maintenance and updating of decor.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with fresh linen and a welcoming atmosphere. However, a few guests mentioned issues with garden upkeep and cleanliness outside, which slightly affected the overall impression.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to local amenities, the beach, and scenic walks. The presence of a nearby train track adds charm without disturbing the peace, according to most guests.
Guests have found the beds extremely comfortable and the cottage spacious. The addition of WiFi and a new kitchen has enhanced the comfort level, although some guests suggested further updates could be made.
The cottage is well-equipped with cooking and cleaning essentials, and guests have enjoyed the new bathroom and kitchen. However, comments about the need for maintenance, such as peeling wallpaper and a damp smell, suggest room for improvement in this area.
While several guests mentioned a welcome pack and found it to be a lovely touch, there is not enough information to determine if this is a consistent offering for all stays. Therefore, it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Please be aware that the private road to the cottage was a challenge, large potholes to negotiate to access the cottage.

Railway Cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and had everything needed (mostly, some coat hooks would be great) Mike sent excellent instructions to locate the Cottage, 2 cars can be parked if one is smaller and you can proficiently park across the bottom of the driveway behind the car on it (as i did without blocking the lane) Would definitely stay again

I found the occasional passing train unit (set back at the rear) of interest with the station nearby to explore along this wonderful line Very much enjoyed my stay there
