It is situated in Beddgelert, one of the most picturesque villages in Snowdonia, at the heart of the National Park. The living room is comfortably furnished and the bathrooms have been fully refitted for the 2022 season. The modern, comprehensively equipped kitchen has delighted visitors who enjoy cooking. A two minute walk leads to the Welsh Highland Railway station with steam trains to Caernarfon and Porthmadog. The Welsh castles, the Italianate village of Portmeirion and gardens at Bodnant and Plas Brondanw are a short drive away. Nesting ospreys further down the Glaslyn river are an attraction for wildlife enthusiasts.
The area has just been declared a World Heritage Site for the remains of the slate industry, and this can be explored at several sites including the National Museum at Llanberis, Llechwedd in Blaenau Ffestiniog and the Ffestiniog Railway running from there to Porthmadog; plenty for the keen amateur industrial archaeologist to explore.

We all found the shower trays very slippery, maybe change what they are cleaned with if it doesn't compromise the excellent cleanliness of them
