Cae Tanws Bach is a well-received cottage in Dolgellau, praised for its prime location, cosy atmosphere, and attentive host. Guests appreciate the convenient parking permit, the proximity to local amenities, and the stunning views. While some noted areas for improvement, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-presented, with only a few minor comments suggesting room for improvement. The positive remarks about cleanliness indicate a high standard maintained by the property.
The location is highly praised for being central, convenient, and quiet, with easy access to shops, pubs, and beautiful walks. The provided parking permit is a valued addition, enhancing the location's appeal.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a homey feel and efficient central heating. Some guests mentioned the beds could be improved, and the steep stairs may not suit everyone, but overall, the comfort level is appreciated.
Facilities are generally seen as adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and cosy living areas. However, there are suggestions for updating the bathroom and improving the TV reception, which slightly affect the score.
The host's thoughtfulness is evident through personal touches like welcome notes and small gifts. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such gifts are a bonus and not a guaranteed feature of the stay.

In towncentre and yet so quiet! Shops bakery and pubs around the corner. Beds are good. Bathroom and dining area are very small. Beautiful walks and hiking trail just outside Dolgellau. There is a washingmachine but no room to let the laundry dry but at the end of the street is a laundry where you can use a dryer for a few pounds. There is no outside place (garden or patio) but for us it wasnât a problem, since we stayed in November. Parking is possible in the street for only 45 min but there is a parking permit provided for the longstay carpark, which is a 5 min walk. Weâre very happy with this permit because it can be used for all public carparks in county Gwynedd. A warm welcome with a Barabrith-cake and fresh milk in the fridge!

Debra was a friendly and helpful host.

Close to the centre of town but on a quiet street, comfy sofas and bed, plenty of space for a single occupant. Works for me as I eat out a lot and only spend the evenings in the cottage watching television. The walk in shower won't be for everyone, and parking on the street outside is tight.
