Also close to home, explore the scenic depths of the Llanfair Slate Caverns, a fantastic waymarked route leading through the Rhaeadr Nantcol Waterfalls (both 3 miles) and the magnificence of the Coed y Brenin Forest Park, around 20 miles away.
