In the well-equipped kitchen, get to grips with a fantastic range of high-quality appliances to rustle up a delicious meal for the whole family, before settling down at either the dining table or venturing out to the garden to savour an alfresco feast in amongst your picturesque surroundings. If the evening grows cooler, retreat back inside to cosy up in the snug, or indulge a long soak in the ground-floor bathroom with a glass of wine in hand. Golfers from all over the world visit the town to play on the renowned Royal St. Davids course, and the lovely sandy beach is great for strolls with the family. Harlech provides a wide range of services, including some high-quality restaurants, and is conveniently located near both the sandy Cardigan Bay beaches as well as the entire Snowdonia National Park.

It is very well stocked with kitchen equipment, the main bedrooms are quite nice. What is called the external bathroom is ridiculous, you canât stand in the shower without banging your hands or head on the roof, thereâs no room to dry or bend over, the shower door opens inwards and cut my toe, itâs cold even with the radiator, probably due to the fact the door has a huge gap in it. This place is set up for seven people, we only had four adults and thereâs not much room to move about in the main room which doubles as the dining area, woefully small, totally unsuitable for the occupancy rate, the radiator is covered by the sofa so thatâs great, if you want to add another forty pounds to the cost you can buy logs, coal and kindling. It does have heating but itâs quite slow to react and generally was a cold house The inside down stairs bathroom, the floor is cracked and uneven, the bath is clearly the wrong way round so getting in and out is hazardous with the slanted end facing you, with no bath mat it is very slippery, so I was forced to use the cold externalâ bathroomâ, this meant making the trip from the house round the outside in the cold/wet/wind. Also the ceiling was very low and made hair washing difficult, added to this the very poor water pressure made showering a chore, easily remedied by reasonable power showers that arenât expensive. Parking for 4 cars ! 3 cars at a push and that is if one goes on the mud and risks getting stuck. £800 in mid March isnât cheap, the artistic license with the photos doesnât show the full story, the lack of detail is very telling. Hardly any hangers in the wardrobes. Iâm guessing youâll say no one else raises these issues, but sadly we all felt that these points raised spoilt our time in llanfair / harlech.

Will definitely be booking again. We had a minor issue with a wasps nest during our stay but this was very quickly resolved by the owner. Fantastic facilities. Views and sunsets were breathtaking. You definitely will not be disappointed with your stay here.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well furnished. The modern kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The outside space is vast with the most beautiful views. My kids (10 and 11) loved the swing at the bottom of the garden and liked climbing the big tree. Bath and beach towels were supplied which is always welcome. The cottage is a walkable distance from Harlech but still feels secluded, peaceful and private. We had a lovely dinner at Castle Cottage in town.The stay was great and we are definitely looking to come back.
