Nestled in the Vale of Glamorgan is the quaint village of St Athan, residing just a short distance from the well-known town of Barry. The village boasts a community centre, an impressive 13th-14th century church, a Post Office, a well-stocked convenience store for any essentials and two delightful pubs, The Roost and The Three Horseshoes, both of which serve delicious meals and local ales. Nearby is the town of Llantwit Major, where you can enjoy a day at the pebble and rock beach which is backed by cliffs and offers stunning views out to the sea and beyond. Next stop should be Barry, which has become increasingly popular since the release of the hit show Gavin and Stacey. In Barry you can expect thrills at the Pleasure Park, the fascinating Barry Castle, the tourist favourite of Barry Beach and of course, the home of Gavin and Stacey.
