  We had a fabulous stay.

  The Clock Tower has everything covered. The place was picturesque, and the building was huge. All rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is superior to many we have stayed in, with everything you would need to cook a three-course meal if needed. All towels were included, plus separate towels for the hot tub. The Hot tub had been checked over whilst we were out, we thought that excellent. Plus another nice touch was the gift of box of chocolates left on arrival in the kitchen. The beds were comfy and bedding of top quality, we all have the best sleep as it's so peaceful. The Bathrooms are arge and easy to manouvre, showers perfect and lovely and modern. The Garden was well manicured and had lovely setting and everything covered for a barbeque. Parking was great, I think we were the only people there for the 3 nights we were at the Clock Tower, so it was very peaceful. We loved the spiral staircase, but found it a little difficult, as we are an older crowd ranging from late 60's to late 70's. But we managed perfectly even with mobility issues. Overall, this was a superb stay, with everything in reach within a 15 minute drive, (small towns in the lakes etc.with bars, cruising the lakes and wonderful restaurants) It's truly an incredible place.   Absolutely amazing property for our stay.

  The kitchen is fitted out beautifully with everything you could possibly need to entertain is provided probably one of the best I've stayed in. The log burner is fab in the very cosy living room. Beds were super comfy and the snug on the 1st floor is a great place to chill in the evenings or mornings when gathering with friends and family. The hot tub is a fab size and spotlessly clean , beach towels are also provided which is an added bonus. Take time to read the welcome book this gives you all the info you need very helpful. Thank you for the chocolates and tea coffee and hot choclate supplies nice touch. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be booking again. We met John the owner as we was leaving lovely man thank you, your family house is beautiful !

  Tilly’s Cottage is an absolute gem, we highly recommend it and most definitely will be back again!

  The communication from Laura and Rich was fantastic, they provided so much helpful information about the cottage and surrounding area. We stayed for 3 nights with our two children and our dog. We found it so relaxing. The boys loved the games and toys and enjoyed playing in the enclosed garden with our dog. The cottage itself is stunning, really well presented and was very clean. We all found the beds very comfortable and enjoyed snuggling up in-front of the fire after walks along the beach. The location is brilliant, short walks to cafes, pub, shops and beach. Thank you so much for the little arrival treats also. 5 stars from us, we literally have no suggestions or complaints. We can’t wait to visit again soon. Many thanks, The Shawcross Family

  The cottage was freezing on arrival, it took 2 days to warm up.

  There is a slope from the kitchen down to the bathroom and bedrooms, a grab rail is necessary for older people. It’s a long way to the allocated parking space and in the dark it feels uncomfortable. A much better torch is needed or should be suggested to bring with you. There isn’t an outside light, a dusk till dawn light is absolutely necessary. Everything is very low, bed, toilet and sofas. Important information if you are taking an elderly person with you. On a positive note, everything was clean, the towels are lovely and soft. Plenty of hot water. The cottage is tastefully decorated and very much in keeping. A great stay.

  My husband and our adult son and daughter only stayed for 3 days, we wished it was longer!

  The Coachmans was absolutely perfect. So homely! The furnishings and fittings are of exceptional quality. The bedrooms spacious and beds so comfy. Everything thought of.throughout the cottage. A perfect setting for exploring, yet off the beaten track. Plenty of safe parking available on site. Cartmel is a short walk away and great for eating out. Plenty of walks from the door, many 4mls circular, we did the walk to Holker Hall and also the fell walk to Grange, which takes you through the golf course. We're looking forward to returning and continuing the local walks! Can't wait to stay again and it'll be for longer next time!
