  having paid a premium to stay at Ash Tree Cottage it should have included all services , being asked to strip the beds and remove all rubbish from the cottage is not something you ask of the holiday tennants, plus not being able to access ungtil 4pm and having to leave at 9am giving the cleaner a 7 hour window to clean and strip the beds etc. Using Covid as a reason is unacceptable. As a safety issue we would like to highlight the fact no hand rail is on the stairs and no grab handles are on the bath and shower , an issue my elderly mother found very difficult. This should be soething all your cottages have to enable eldelry and disabled people to access them safely. In addition better drying facilities for clothes and towels would be good . These points have already been raised in the vistiors book within the cottage . Ihope you will pass this on to the owners so they are able to action said points in the very near future.

  This is a beautiful, very characterful cottage in a central location near shops, the sea and the downs. It provides spacious and very comfortable accommodation with every facility we could have wanted. It has been thoughtfully extended to retain its wonderful character while also providing all modern conveniences. All the bedrooms are a good size and the bedding was very comfortable and clean. The second lounge is useful if you have to work while away as it has a desk and good internet. The garden is very pretty and is well provided with seating and tables - a lovely place to eat or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. We had regular visits in the garden from a pheasant too! The owners were generous with supplies of hand wash, laundry liquid and cleaning supplies which was very helpful and the welcome goodies were lovely. Probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in!

  Title: Wonderful Stay, but WiFi Needs Improvement We recently had the pleasure of staying at this holiday home, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The location, amenities, and ambiance were all top-notch, contributing to a memorable holiday. However, the only downside was the WiFi, which unfortunately was not working during our stay. While we understand that technical issues can arise, having a functional internet connection would have enhanced our experience, especially for planning activities and keeping a teenager entertained. We did get compensation for this. Despite this minor setback, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the holiday home and would still highly recommend it to others. With a reliable WiFi connection, it would undoubtedly be a perfect getaway.

  Ash Tree Cottage is a well appointed nice looking property, that has a roomy feel. It has everything one needs for an ideal holiday. An open plan kitchen and dining area. Ground floor washroom. A spacious lounge that is well equipped with a TV and plenty of books. Large main bedroom, with a huge king sized bed and on-suite shower/toilet (although this is rather small). There are two small bedrooms, one with twin beds the other a single. They are both reasonably furnished one housing a small wardrobe the other a chest of drawers. The family bathroom is light and airy. All in all we have had two holidays at this cottage and will be back next year!

  Very impressed with the old smokehouse, we have pretty high standards when it comes to accommodation and we were very impressed, the property was extremely well equipped, everything you needed and more , they really have thought of everything, the welcome basket was a lovely and thoughtful touch, the property was located right in the middle of Southwold, mins from pubs , shops , hotels , restaurants and the beach , but still very quiet, lovely to be woken by the sea gulls, thank you had an amazing holiday, recommend the lighthouse tour and the boat trips
