What our customers say about their holidays

We really enjoyed our holiday to Northern Ireland.
The cottage was the bees knees! It provided us with a home from home during our week exploring and is situated centrally for the North Antrim coast. The whole week went swimmingly, we ate in Bushmills one evening at the Distillers Arms. The meal was excellent, as was the welcome and service we received. We also had one night fish and chips from the Hip Chip. Top notch fish and chips. Every other evening we catered for ourselves in the well equipped, large kitchen at Rosie's Cottage, then sat in front of a roaring fire for a couple of hours chat before retiring to the really comfortable beds for the night. A basket of logs was provided for our first couple of evenings but after that we called in at the Maxol Service Station on our way from the village for logs and peat. We did our main shopping at Asda in Coleraine and got bits and bobs from the Spar on Main Street, just opposite the Old Bushmills Distillery. We enjoyed visits and walks to the Giant's Causeway, Portrush, Coleraine, Portstewart, Castlerock, Ballintoy, Ballycastle and a day at Belfast Zoo. We had tea and scones at The Wee Cottage at Dunluce castle at least three times during the week, sitting in front of the open fire. All in all, we could not have asked for a better week's holiday. The best part of each day was settling in at Rosie's Cottage in the evening, planning our next day's adventure. We would highly recommend the cottage and look forward to a return visit in the near future.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sea shell Sykes holiday home for two nights with 3 families , and it was an absolutely delightful experience.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The home itself is beautifully maintained and exudes a cozy charm that made us feel right at home. The decor is tasteful, and every room is thoughtfully furnished, providing both comfort and style. The cleanliness of the house was impeccable, which we greatly appreciated. One of the highlights of our stay was the stunning views near by and 14 minutes walk to Castlerock beach with a restaurants, local fish & chip shops and bar. The kitchen, bathroom, outdoor area were well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including bbq. We enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty to do nearby. Overall, our experience at SeaShells was exceptional. I highly recommend this lovely holiday home to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Host for providing such a wonderful place to stay.

The cottage is fabulous, beds are comfortable, the place was spacious.
TV's had access to plenty of channels and radio. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of certain areas, both bins under the work counter had a layer of dirt around the top of them, we cleaned this ourselves, there were NO bin liners, we bought some to use, the inside of the mirror cabinet in the upstairs had not been cleaned. NO instructions in the property as to when the bins should be put outside for bin collections by the Council.... Some of the windows and doors could not be opened...... The cottage has lovely views across the harbour and local fields. Good parking area and outside table and chairs. Ballycastle has lots of shops , bars, cafe and petrol stations. Recommend Dolly's for a nice breakfast.

We loved the house and found most things we needed.
We would have liked a larger table with at least some chairs (for our elderly backs), but all 10 of us could sit down to eat together which was lovely. We found some of the beds narrow for a couple, but, fortunately ,there was a sixth room that we used. One thing we missed was hooks for jackets in the hall and in the bathrooms to hang clothes and towels. Also, the internet works very well in the sitting room where the modem is, and less well elsewhere. A more central location would help. But these are small things. Overall, a super house in a great location. We were ten 60+ adults, and we thought the house was perfect for us. Spotless, cosy and highly recommended!

Lamb Cottage is a lovely private property with fantastic views over the countryside and sea.
The house is well equipped and lovely and warm. With a few little tweaks it would be 5 star. Eight coat hangers shared between 3 wardrobes is a little mean as is one toilet roll between 3 toilets. Having to share one toilet roll until the shops open on Sunday is not really acceptable. The dishwasher stinks and could do with a deep clean or a dishwasher freshener. I realise that Lamb Cottage is a huge property to clean and overall it was fairly clean apart from bathroom cabinets which were filthy, I cleaned them myself before using them and old cobwebs around the windows. A little more attention to detail and Lamb Cottage would get 5 stars.
