  Me and my partner stayed at the bike shed from the 19th March for a week and we had a wonderful stay, weather was a massive bonus.

  We seen Maggie and Martin on arrival and they are the most wonderful couple, very helpful and so friendly really made us feel welcome. The bike shed is clean and has a lovely comfortable bed. The bathroom is great and has a very good shower and bath. It also has the facilities needed for a self catering stay, Although there is no full oven it does have 2 hobs and a combi microwave oven to use which was fine for us. Maggie and Martin provided the most amazing welcome pack..we were over the moon and very appreciative, Maggies short bread was gorgeous.The bike shed is in a great location, lovely and quiet, waking up to the views was amazing. Short drive to Aberfoyle for any shops and restaurants, also short drive to any walking trails in the area and there are plenty of walking or cycling trails to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the area. We will definitely be back to explore more of the surrounding areas and will definitely choose the old school bike shed. Would definitely recommend.   Pros- ideal location for getting out walking.

  House has everything you need. Lovely outlook from dining room table. Feels safe to stay there. Cons- bit dated however didn’t spoil stay. Wee bit smelly when we arrived. Could do with fresh Lino on the bathroom. Stair blinds are very dirty. Biggest con for us and this is for anyone bringing their dogs. We had a vision of sitting out in the garden with the dogs just wandering enjoying all the woodland scents- This meant we could not sit outside and enjoy the good weather. One time we left them in the house and sat outside but after 10 mins the lady came out and started pottering about the grass they own right outside the house so the dogs saw her and started barking so we had to go in, so from that respect it did spoil things a bit. I just want dog owners to be aware of that. Overall though we had a really nice week as we just got the dogs out early and spent the day elsewhere.

  What a brilliant property to rent (2 adults, teenager and 11 year old).

  Travel and key instructions sent few days before holiday began and property was very easy to find following these (used the what3words). Met by owners on arrival who showed us round the property and how things worked, and they checked everything was fine during the week we were there. Property was clean, well equipped and plenty of space, even the mattresses in all bedrooms were comfortable. Lovely quiet location with such a lovely view from the back garden and was able to use the chiminea provided to toast marshmallows one evening (not the best of weather whilst we were there) and central for our trips out (Oban, Loch Katrine and Bracklin Falls to name a few).

  The cottage is in a spectacular location, with beautiful views and walks.

  The first morning we had goldfinches in the bushes outside! We had red squirrels, deer, an array of birds, with sightings of golden and sea eagles. Thiese exceeded my expectations. The cottage itself, though a little dated decor-wise was so comfortable and had everything to make it a perfect holiday. The log burner was perfect for the chilly nights, the kitchen huge and had everything for cooking a large meal from scratch. There's a freezer and washing machine too. The neighbours were lovely and very helpful. I'd definately love to go back to Glen Finglas Reservoir Cottage. A great place to explore the beautiful Trossachs.

  We enjoyed our stay in this property.

  The facilities provided are numerous and many details provided in the guide. However we found that there were instructions missing for various items such as the air fryer, tv. We found that the lounge suite was very soft and low so once in it was difficult to get up again. That maybe personal choice and perhaps a bit picky but we weren’t able to relax properly. The access to the property is on a farm track with ruts and hollows so needs care. The owners were available by phone which was great and very helpful. Sadly due to various circumstances, we were unable to meet but they were very helpful over the phone.
