  Loved staying at Hitchens Cottage.

  I got a call from the owner, Sally, before I left to let me know the cottage was ready early. Sally is really friendly. I popped a text to her midweek just to say I was enjoying my stay. Sally checked I was warm enough as it was stormy. Heating is so easy to adjust. I felt comfortable and safe. There was plenty of room in the lounge and bedrooms for my Greyhound's bed. Micky settled well which normally takes a while. The cottage was super-clean. I did my best when I left, but sure I didn't meet the standard I found the cottage in! The purpose of my break was peace and good walks with Micky. This fit perfectly. There was minimal noise from the surrounding properties, barely noticeable. Our preferred walks along the cliffs meant no traffic and actually, very few people and dogs as they were mostly on the beach. Those I did meet were very friendly. Although there are plenty of sights to see, I just wanted to enjoy the immediate area, explore and relax. Found a nice, circular walk, although at one point the edge of the cliff was a bit too close for comfort. Was sad to see the erosion. We made our way to the lighthouse too. I highly recommend Hitchens cottage. You will need to take things like cooking oil and sauces/ketchup if you use them but there is salt and pepper on the table. There was a pint of milk and some very tasty biscuits on arrival that I enjoyed. The only negative is that I couldn't reach the coat hooks without going full stretch (there is a portable step in the kitchen if needed) :)

  Nice character cottage. Very well equipped, nicely decorated and fairly spacious. There was a lovely welcome pack, milk, wine, crisps, jam, tea and coffee as well as a delicious home made cake. There are varying floor levels throughout so you have to step up and down when moving from room to room. The courtyard garden is paved and has some outdoor seating and a gravel pathway, which our dog didnt like at all. There is no on site parking, which caused us some issues. We did experience traffic noise from parents dropping off and picking up children from school. The dog friendly pub is close by and is interesting as is the landlord. There was considerable late night noise over the weekend as the pub had a beer festival, but it was quieter during the week. The cottage is conveiently located near to the cliff top path and easy walk to the lighthouse and beach. The local shop is within easy walking distance as is a wonderful Fair Maiden fresh fish shop. A mobile fish and chip van, Coastal Chippy, calls at the Manor Caravan Park. Nearby Stalham has restsurants and a supermarket. Camberley is well situated in the centre of the village and has all you need for a lovely holiday.

  Lovely location and lovely cottage. Had all of the equipment needed as well as a lovely welcome pack of wine, cake and crisps. A little uncomfortable on the sofas but the many cushions helped. The plug in night lights and torches were handy but be careful in the single beds room with a moving rug which can be a trip hazard (as personally experienced). Whilst being on holiday is a good time to disconnect from technology, the wifi was very touch and go so if you needed to google emergency numbers such as vets the signal was not that strong. We have left a few leaflets of a local emergency vets should anyone else have the bad luck we did with one of our dogs. The cottage itself was lovely and despite our pooch emergency we made the best of our time there.

  We loved Camberley Cottage and Happisburgh and will definitely book again. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and beautifully presented and located. The lovely courtyard garden and conservatory were great for relaxing The village is very nice, quiet and friendly, and the local pub was dog and people friendly (although due to current covid restrictions we only saw the garden). There is a talented local lady making delicious home made cakes and goods (Lynn's cakes) which we recommend, with a well stocked small village shop and the seafood shop for other supply's. The beach and local walks are superb and a stones throw away. A truly relaxing stay

  Camberley Cottage at Happisburgh is a beautiful 16th century cottage that has been sympathetically modernised .I hired it in November, it was warm and comfortable and I had a wonderful relaxing Holiday,Camberley Cottage , is a top quality rental property with quality cutlery and glassware microwave cooker etc. Well done to the owner and Norfolk Country Cottages. I would definitely have more Holidays with Norfolk Country Cottages,and on the standard of Camberley I would rent other properties and recommend the cottage to my friends and associates and have done. Friends of mine are going to hire Camberley next year on my recommendation.
