  Albert Cottage is in a great location, less than 5 minutes walk from the Market Place but also very quiet. It's a very pretty, double-fronted flint-faced cottage which has nicely decorated, good-sized rooms. It's also full of light, which we liked very much. The stairs are quite steep, with a narrow tread so they have to be negotiated with care, but there are wooden hand rails on each side. Overall, we liked the cottage very much. However, a significant drawback for us was the parking situation. There is one dedicated parking space in a niche beside the kitchen. We read the information about the size of the space and the importance of not blocking the shared driveway before booking. As we have a smail car (in the 'supermini' class) we thought it would be fine but getting in and out of the space was tricky with not a lot of room for manoeuvre.

  Rowan Cottage was delightfully and peacefully situated just a little way from the centre of Holt but with easy access to the town on foot or by car. Good free parking & perfectly placed for touring around North Norfolk.The accommodation was tasteful with both double and twin bedrooms being en suite plus a cloakroom downstairs! The kitchen contained everything one needed and the sitting room very comfortable with TV and DVDs. Good outside spaces enclosed at the rear of the property to enjoy on a sunny day and not overlooked.I can certainly recommend this property as it also has an efficient central heating system too if the weather becomes inclement.My thanks to the owner and Norfolk Hideaways as there was never anything to concern me and a contact point if anything had arisen.

  The reason we scored cleanliness low was because the cottage had lots of dog hairs all over front and back door mats, hair all up the metalwork of the stairs. The venetian blinds were covered in dust, and lot of cobwebs everywhere. The WORST BIT was the bed absolutely stunk....VERY MUSTY, it was like the bed linen hadn't been dried properly from being laundered. You woke up smelling of it....!! I would recommend that a Private No Parking sign was put up on the side of the cottage as we had problem with other cars Parking on the driveway. The fridge was very noisy it kept you awake at night. Hope most of these comments are a one of problem.... as the cottage is lovely little gem in a lovely town. I don't usually complain but felt these issues had to be mentioned.

  A lovely cottage in a super location. It’s just a short walk into town with a good range of shops and dog friendly places to eat. The cottage felt very homely and had everything we needed. The bike locker was really useful for two mountain bikes and the garden was a good size for our two labs. Two dogs and two teenagers are a challenge to keep occupied, but Holt Country park, Holt Archery and Air rifle centre helped. Proximity to Holkham Hall, Blakeney, Wells next Sea, Cromer and Coltishall paddle boarding all made for a great family holiday. We would love to go back to Cobbler’s Cottage and would definitely recommend it.

  We had a really enjoyable stay at Cobblers Cottage. The house is perfectly situated down a quiet road within walking distance to Holt and also the nearby Holt Country Park. I stayed with my husband, three children and two dogs and it was a perfect home from home. The beds were comfy and warm, as was the house itself. The house was quirky and offered everything we needed it for. A good centre point to visit Wells, Brancaster, Sandringham and the local beach of Salthouse. Small but efficient kitchen was good for quick meals. Lovely welcome hamper too. We will be rebooking for next year as we felt so at home, thank you
