  This cottage was within 20 miles of many pretty beaches and it was only a few minutes drive to the SW Coast path.

  There is also a really lovely riverside walk within walking distance. Not to be missed. Also local woods. The cottage has lovely views from the upstairs sitting room and was in a very quiet village. Very clean. The kitchen/dining and seating area has lots of natural light and was a nice space to sit in the evening as we could not eat in restaurants due to COVID during our stay. The enclosed garden is lovely to sit in when the sun is shining, which it did every day for our holiday in April! In previous reviews the bathroom was described as very small, it is small, like an en-suite, but was perfectly adequate for us ( husband is 6 ft). Hosts were friendly, but we hardly saw them. They did kindly provide us with Milk, bread, fresh eggs, honey jam and marmalade, which was really nice and we saw their hens every morning around the grounds, the eggs were very tasty. We have stayed in many cottages and we loved this one for the location especially, it was a very relaxing stay. We felt very safe everywhere we visited, COVID guidelines were well adhered to.   The Coach House in Kingston is a lovely, quaint period property in a beautiful village location.

  Despite the size of the property, it is quite tiny, the space is very well planned and equipped. We loved the features such as the wood burning stove, the lovely little garden and terrace (a real sun trap), washing machine, an excellent cooker and very good quality crockery and saucepans etc and the library of books. Unfortunately there is a smell of damp downstairs which could do with some attention. The property is also quite dark and could really benefit from some updating. But it was spotlessly clean and for a few nights stay, absolutely fine. Otherwise, the property is in an idyllic location - the village of Kingston is beautiful and very peaceful, in gorgeous countryside and we found some stunning beaches nearby. There is also a fabulous pub in the village which serves exceptionally good home cooked food. Overall, considering the property’s location and value for money, this is a lovely little bolthole and left us feeling relaxed and refreshed after a four night stay. Thank you!

  Well what can I say.

  This caravan is a the top of the park and is on the steepest roadway I have seen. Totally unsuitable for the elderly or families with small children. The gas was empty so having spoken to the owner I was directed to get the site maintenance to check it out. They did so and replaced the gas bottles. I also asked them to look at the TV in the living room that wasn’t picking up the sat channels and they couldn’t fathom out the problem. The owner said that I must have been pressing the wrong buttons. I think there were other issues that she is not owning up to. The caravan is a bit small. Ok for a you family I suppose but no good for us. The Wi-Fi was chargeable from the site, not mentioned in the Ad. About £6 a day for anything usable. There was a good power shower and the decking was fully enclosed so safe for our small dog. All in All, for us a total waist of money. We left after one night and the owner blamed us for our concerns.

  We would wholeheartedly recommend Cloverwell cottage for the high quality of its facilities, cleanliness, and welcome from the owners.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cloverwell, with the unexpected bonus of wonderful sunny weather. Unfortunately the booking process was unclear and complicated, and so this comment is addressed to Sykes. We found Cloverwell on Dog Friendly Cottages, and started a booking with them. This was stopped at the payment stage - "our problem, not yours" the page said - when a company called Snaptrip intervened. A combination of phone numbers to call, new websites to process and the discovery of very unhappy reviews of a company called Sykes followed. Consequently we were concerned about what we might find when we arrived. As described above Cloverwell was lovely and there were no problems at all. But a day into our stay a company called Countryside Cottages contacted us to see how the stay was going and to offer its services if required. Why are so many different companies involved? What is the relationship between them all?

  I absolutely loved Cloverwell!

  It had everything I needed and a few little extra's like e.g. eggs and bread left by the owner and even some little extra's for my dog. A great place to spend a few quiet days in a small village. However, having said all that I was not very happy that when I arrived at the cottage late in the afternoon (almost dark) after a long drive the key was not in the place where it was supposed to be. I had used the code for the little box by the door but the box was empty, no key anywhere. I rang the bell of the owner's house but no one seemed at home. I was not sure what to do, this was actually quite upsetting as I was on my own in a place totally unknown to me. Eventually - much later - a man appeared from a shed at the back and he turned out to be the owner. He then gave me the key and all he said was that this had never happened before, no apology at all. So that was really not a good start to my stay at Cloverwell.
