What our customers say about their holidays
Eileen - Verified booking
The garden was a delight both for ourselves and our large dog.
There was ample garden furniture and the garden was truly enclosed with high hedges ( a must for a dog that can climb over a five foot fence ). The kitchen was well equipped for everyday meals, although there was no designated space in the cupboards for any groceries. I had to rearrange a cupboard to put away items such as cereal, tinned goods etc..An oven glove would have been appreciated as I used the oven a lot. The bed was very comfortable, although, presumably due to the age of the building, the bedroom floor was somewhat uneven. The bathroom contained a separate shower cubicle as well as a large bath, toilet and sink. I found the lighting in there rather poor for using the mirrors. The lounge area was dusty around the TV cabinet and the items around the wood burner and looked as if someone hadn't considered dusting the top of the TV box. I imagine it was cleaned after the previous guests had left but there was maybe a gap between bookings. When I swept before we left I discovered a fair amount of dust under the bed and the chest of drawers. Whilst I wouldn't sweep under the bed in my own home every week, I did feel a little more care should be taken with paying guests. Again presumably to do with the age of the building, we found paint bubbling with the damp by the front door. The dog knocked flakes of paint off almost every time she passed the wall. We were very surprised to find there was no recycling bin. I doubt many guests, including ourselves, are willing to drive six miles to find recycling facilities. Although this review sounds somewhat negative, on the whole the cottage was nice and the kind gesture of leaving us muffins, milk and dog treats was appreciated. Indeed, there was even a dog bed (although not large enough for our dog) and dog bowls left.

Cottage is a good size for a couple with a dog.
Bed comfy, shower ok, good heating system. Good walks for the dog. Good for stargazing. Pub across road. Various places nearby, Brockhampton, Bromyard, Malvern, Worcester. However... We weren't aware this cottage was on a huge holiday park i.e. the type with loads of static caravans. This was a big, big negative for us. The site also now has my email address and (predictably) is already foisting 'benefits' of holiday home ownership, which I am not happy about. We went on holiday with Sykes not Park Leisure. Outdoor light was faulty, some of the crockery waa filthy, there was no welcome pack (not even a few teabags), no cushions on (hard) sofa/armchairs, Roman blinds covered up half the windows even when fully open, no coat hooks, the main contact number was HQ not the one for the site. We went in the bar opposite one evening and were met with rowdy very drunk people, so didn't go back. Generally, no chance of a return visit at this one. A letdown compared to numerous other Sykes cottages we have stayed in.

Booked last minute for a few days away and was not disappointed.
A beautifully restored barn with rustic charm and modern amenities. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The highlight was being greeted with a homemade chocolate cake that was absolutely to die for! The hosts went above and beyond by walking us through the woods to Brockhampton, adding a unique and personal touch to our stay. The barn itself was exceptionally clean and spotless, which made our experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. The pictures simply donât do this place justiceâitâs even more beautiful in person. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking, and there are lovely walks nearby that offer a perfect escape into nature. I wholeheartedly recommend this charming barn for a fantastic getaway. Itâs the perfect blend of rustic charm, modern comfort, and impeccable cleanliness. Thank you Andrew & Jane we had a lovely break away and will definitely return!

The cottage itself was idyllic.
Our dog loved the big garden and we were incredibly lucky with the weather. Perfectly situated for on the door walks or a short drive to all the main attractions: Eastnor Castle, Deer Park, Great Malvern, Ledbury. The muffins and dog treats were a lovely touch. I only wish Iâd known that the cottage was situated next to a busy road, perhaps an oversight on my part. This feedback is subjective of course, depending on where you live and what youâre used to. The road didnât bother my partner at all. For me, the constant stream of lorryâs, motorbikes, and cars driving at 50/60 mph till late at night, meant I couldnât enjoy the garden and with it being hot at night, meant I couldnât open the windows due to the noise. I wasnât able to relax as much as Iâd hoped for. I am particularly sensitive to noise which is why I havenât marked down this listing as this is out of the owners control, and everything else was perfect!

"A walkers paradise" Keepers Barn is just fabulous, a conversion of an old farm building completed to the highest standard.
The location is a superb bolt hole to escape everyday busy life and be surrounded with rolling countryside and a peaceful quietness. Delighful walks, short or long straight from the door. A National Trust estate and Bromyard Downs are just a stones throw away. Market Towns and places of interest are in abundance also only a short drive away. The barn is very homely, warm and comfortable with underfloor heating. It has everything you could wish for and more. There is a dedicated area adjacent, housing a freezer, washer and tumble dryer if required. Outside the barn has a paved area with seating and a dedicated barbecue to enjoy lazy evenings after days out and about. We look forward to using when the weather is more accommodating on our return visit booked for April 24. Good luck with your new venture Jane and Andrew, you were truly superb hosts, our Christmas get away was perfect
