  The location of the lodge is perfect. Quiet and a short walk to the amenities on the sea front of Kippford. The lodge is very well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. Lovely thick bathroom towels. Washing machine and tumble dryer were useful, as was the outside washing line. Plenty of board games available too. The slight disappointment was the cleanliness. Very dusty in places, lots of dog hair on blankets and under furniture and a lot of cobwebs. The en-suite shower didn’t drain properly because the drain hole was full of hair. The windows were dirty and the grass needed cutting. The grass was cut during the week we were there but all the cuttings were left on the surface so we had no option but to walk through it which meant we had to sweep up constantly as it came inside. There was a brand new BBQ which was appreciated. The furniture is all a bit tired and in need a replacing. You could feel the springs on the king size bed. We walked from Kippford to Rockcliffe, a lovely walk some of which is uphill. There are a couple of pubs on the seafront in Kippford and a small cafe/shop which serves great coffe as well as other things. Kippford is a great base for visiting all the places to see in the area. Threave Gardens and Kircudbright are recommended. There are great beaches at Rockcliffe and Sandyhills.

  Crabtree lodge and Mossyard is a portal to another world, a place where you can relax and reconnect, where the days are never the same and the sky tells many stories in a day. NEVER EVER EVER EVER.... have we stayed in such a BRILLIANT equipped holiday accommodation even a blender which was a god send to us for our disabled daughter! The attention to detail within the lodge is lovely from the art work on the walls to the bedding and lovely fluffy towels, the kitchen is equipped beyond belief. The Christmas decorations were enough for our current situation we knew it was Christmas but not in your face Christmas it was tactful and thoughtful. Thank you for sharing Mossyard with us this Christmas very special memories were made with the magic and sanctuary of Mossyard. Definitely book Gather at Laggans up the hill breathtaking views and food amazing and don't miss highly reccommend is The 1 Little Farm shop which is on the farm @1littlefarm for all your local produced foods!!

  Pebbles on Mossyard site is the perfect location for the fantastic views and for walks on our favourite beach - plenty of room in the caravan - very well equipped with everything you could need - great size secure veranda with plenty of seating. We have stayed at Mossyard several times now, we love the space, small size and quietness of it, its very relaxing and we have already booked for next year. The team that work there are always very friendly and helpful. We also love the addition of the Little Farm Shop with its home baked goods and fresh bottled milk - all together excellent.

  Pebbles is a lovely static Caravan on the beautiful site of Mossyard. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and it is a nice added touch to have some bread, cheese, chutney and milk on arrival. We stayed 2 weeks and my only complaint is - I really feel the towels should be changed and potentially bed sheets after week 1 - the towels are used at times up to 2-3 times per day if you are showering after being at the beach and get a bit smelly after a while! That's my only issue other than that its fab.

  First of all thankyou John and Joanna for the goodies , they were very much appreciated . We thought Clover Lodge was very comfortable and attractively furnished. It also had the most wonderful views of the estuary and surrounding countryside .We have been coming to Mossyard for many years and know the area well . Our only concern was the lack of grab rails in the shower. As elderly visitors this is quite important to us . We have booked again for next year and would. love a fortnight !
