My husband and I spent 4 days over Christmas at Margaretta House with our children and extended family, having stayed there previously for the October half term holidays. Margaretta House was the ideal choice for our large multigenerational group holiday, and we were very happy to come back for Christmas. The house is spacious and was beautifully decorated with a large Christmas tree. The house was warm, and had several woodburning stoves and an aga, perfect for winter. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it really easy for us to prepare all our meals including Christmas lunch for 14, and the enormous dining room was perfect for our big family meals. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and there are plenty of living areas to use so we never felt cramped. My children loved the massive sofas in the kitchen where they could play or watch TV whilst the adults cooked. Another highlight was the heated indoor swimming pool which the whole family used every day during our stay. The gardens are large and there was plenty of room for our children to run around (safely) outside and we all enjoyed petting the very friendly sheep. Great location and perfect for trips to the North Norfolk beaches and Sandringham which is close by. Highly recommend and would book again.

Staying at beautiful Margaretta House was like stepping into a dream! The avenue leading up to the house was amazingly beautiful with snowdrops on both sides and the garden and the rest of the estate is good for taking a walk or just rest on a bench admiring the beauty. There is also a lovely heated swimming pool in the garden. Margaretta House is very nice decorated and all the rooms have good beds with quality linen. There are several fire places in the House, which makes it warm and cosy on the colder days. What makes Margaretta House truly special are the very warm and attentive hosts who made us feel so welcome! Thank you Liz and Andrew for a divine experience with much rest and peace. I highly recommend Margaretta House and hope to come back soon myself!
