  We really enjoyed our stay, although the neighbours were extremely difficult.

  When we arrived we pulled into the bay by the property to unload our belongings, a young woman from the house in front of the bay immediately came out and shouted at us, she also insulted me when I told her we were only unpacking our stuff, we didn’t plan on parking there. The lady at the back said there’s been a lot of bother from them; however they didn’t bother us again. Then my husband and I were in the kitchen with the door open at the back when a large dog came bounding through the door and tried to attack me, my husband threw water on it and was able to intimidate the dog so that it moved and we managed to barricade ourselves behind the back door until finally my husband closed the door. I was quite shaken by the experience. My husband shouted through the window for the neighbour at the end to get his dog- he didn’t and it continued to bark aggressively at us from behind the door; bearing its teeth and ready to attack when we tried to open/close the door window to shout to the man. He was actually hiding behind his gate as we could see him ducking behind the door. I’m concerned that if I had have been a child or my new 12 week old puppy- this would have been a sad story. I loved the cottage though, so beautiful, comfortable and clean. I would say that I wouldn’t take children or elderly people, just in case. Unless the problem is resolved but how could you resolve this? I would not allow this to stop you renting this property- it really is that good, just be careful about the parking and be careful in the shared backyard where there’s no gate between you and the end neighbours with the dog. (The neighbour has a gate but he’d obviously opened it to let his dog out). Ok, so the garden is absolutely gorgeous, very quirky set up on two/three levels. Lovely lady lives next door feeds the seagulls everyday, be careful there’s loads of them that flock there- not a problem for us as we weren’t home in the morning. BBQ area is pleasantly arranged and plenty of seating and cushions. The lights didn’t work when we were there, but we weren’t in the garden late anyway. Overall I would stay here again because it felt very homely, but I’d be extremely careful out the back door in the communal yard part. We never saw the dog before or after it attacked us. There is a gate on the main garden and it’s one step from the back door. Just be careful as you always are in public areas. And don’t speak to the house on the left of the property, very rude. The heating was perfect, bedding ok, decor and condition of the place was just right and spotlessly clean. In a near perfect location. Two large Terraces that look across the bay- stunning.   A group of 20 of our friends stayed in the house over 2 days on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th January to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday.

  We had all travelled up from Manchester and the size of the house with the number of rooms and amount of space fitted our group numbers absolutely perfectly. We all had a fantastic time. The rooms were really clean and spacious. The large living room and dining area was perfect for our stay as it provided enough space for us all to have a good time and the large kitchen area allowed was perfect was cooking and relaxing in. I received a nice introductory message from the owner Zhang will covered all essential points and things to consider which was extremely helpful. Also, the on-site Assistant Manager Kev was a brilliant help to us on two occasions when we required the heating to be switched on on the Friday night and then on the Saturday night when one of the room’s doors locked itself from the outside. I messaged Kev to ask for his assistance on both occasions and he was extremely professional and helpful and was travelled immediately to the house to help us. I’d like to commend Kev for all of his help and support. These were the only two minor issues during our stay but they didn’t affect us all have a brilliant weekend. Overall, my wife really enjoyed her surprise weekend away and she had a brilliant time and I would highly recommend staying at this property for parties of more than 15 guests.

  We absolutely loved staying at Woodmans cottage.

  We were pleased to have found a holiday where there was a hot tub that also looked clean and stylish as well as being able to take our small dog with us. Woodmans cottage totally exceeded our expectations. The property has been thoughtfully renovated to feel modern yet keep the charm and character. Small personal touches about the history and local information provided were interesting and we were given plenty of ideas of places to visit. We immediately felt relaxed and comfortable and the garden is beautiful to sit and enjoy We had everything we needed and the owner, Peter, went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. He provided fans when the weather was very hot without us even having to ask. Peter was friendly and available if needed without being intrusive. The village is small and quiet, the pub just across the road serves delicious food and has friendly staff and a Lovely atmosphere. The pub was not noisy or disruptive to us in the cottage or the garden and we would definitely recommend eating there. Horses ride through the village, which the children enjoyed seeing. There is a play park for primary age and younger children. We absolutely recommend Woodman cottage!

  WOW WOW WOW What an amazing cottage, nothing has been left to chance.

  Nothing is too much trouble for the owners who are a phone call away should you need them. From the minute you make your booking you are kept informed about your arrival, from directions to the cottage to how to gain access to the cottage, and where everything is once in the cottage. Local knowledge from Peter the owner and areas to visit whilst on your stay. Extra touches included pods for the washing machine, pods for the dishwasher, towels for the bathroom and seperate ones for the hot tub. Dog towels and shower so no muddy dogs in the cottage. Basically it is home from home with all the mod cons. Log burner for those winter breaks and fully central heated. The hot tub was a bonus we were never out of it, kept at 38 degrees so you could enjoy anytime of the day. Pub just across the road Ship Inn serves wonderful down to earth food and drink at reasonable prices, there is the Globe pub further up the village but we didn't venture into it. A big thank you to Peter and his wife for allowing us into his home really, it is a credit to them both with the high standards they maintain and we wish them look in the future. We will definitely be returning in the future Thank you

  The whole cottage has been fully renovated throughout to a really high standard with tasteful, modern decor and attention to detail.

  A lot of time and effort has clearly gone into making the Woodman cottage a perfect staycation destination. I particularly liked the kitchen/dining room for feeling spacious and bright, and the bathroom with a large walk in shower. The warm water from the outside hosepipe to wash the dogs is a nice touch too. Every little thing has been thought of, from providing washing tablets for the washing machine, to a Bluetooth speaker in the kitchen. It was nice to have towels provided both for the bathroom and the hot tub. Communication from Peter (the owner) was spot on, ensuring our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The hot tub is bigger than ones I've been in before and it was lovely to relax in it in an evening. The cottage is situated in a quiet village on the outskirts of Morecombe. It's location is good for exploring the surrounding areas. We would definitely return. Thank you Peter.
