  We were upgraded to Lodge 17 from Lodge 6 due to a wedding taking place I can only assume this was to keep wedding guests together Stay was pleasant enough, however, when lodges are advertised as "luxury", then luxury is what you expect.

  What you don't excpect is: 1 flat pillow per person Curtains throughout the lodge which were not ironed (obviously hung straight out of the packet) Dreadful WI-FI Bottle shelf in the fridge was broken and had been glued but fell off again when bottles were placed in it There were no curatain or blinds on the front windows of the lodge so no privacy at night The twin room had only 2 coat hangers On arrival we found a glass behind the curtain in the rear bedroom so obviously window sill had not been cleaned The lodge is for up to 6 people but the fridge was not large enough and only had a small freezer box No dishwasher or washing machine which is surprising for a "luxury lodge" Crockery is a mis-match of different types The hot tub is supposed to be unlocked at 9.30 a.m. but on the Sunday 12th May 2024 and Monday 13th May 2024 it was 10.30 at least before it was unlocked The location is very pleasant but be aware there is very little on site for anybody other than wedding guests Would suggest getting a food delivery from one of the supermarkets in Perth. We got a delivery from Asda T o be clear this is a true reflection of our stay and the accommodation is not "luxurious" and standards need to be raised

  Dear whom it may concern, I’m writing in connection with our recent stay at Silverwood Lodges, Errol.

  ( 12-15th October ‘23) Unfortunately , there were many issues with our stay. Firstly, on our first night in the lodge there was a wedding. We were made aware of this at check in but not prior to booking. The noise continued on until after 12AM and with having three children this kept them up and us along with the constant noise of the boiler/hot tub. This noise seemed to be worse in the twin room. On arrival the lodge was not clean. The cutlery, pans, oven and utensils were filthy. The floor wasn’t clean and there were sweet and crisp packets/crumbs all over the sofa. The bathroom ceiling was covered in flies, and the tiles were covered in dirt. Aside from the kitchen equipment being filthy there wasn’t anything simple like a chopping board/grater - so even making the simplest of meals were a challenge. The beds were very uncomfortable, and far too small. Due to this we have returned home with very little sleep. We have been away to countless lodges and haven’t stayed anywhere so badly equipped or dirty, so it’s very disappointing. I have attached photographs for your attention.   Really lovely lodge and the hot tub was an excellent addition.

  The grounds were very well kept. The location was excellent for visiting many surrounding places. We visited Aberdeen, Dundee, the Hermitage, Loch Leven and St Andrews. Unfortunately the WiFi only works when you are outside the lodge which made it a little more difficult to plan activities etc. It also made it difficult to watch anything on the TV as the signal was poor and many channels just didn’t work. Overall the lodge was clean, there were a couple of things such as damp around the shower in the en-suite and the skirtings had clearly not been wiped down in a little while. We did find the lack of curtains in the Lounge unusual, it meant people could see straight in when the lights were on in the evenings. However, we would definitely recommend and would visit again.

  The property was an amazing stay.

  Very comfortable and homely. We'd booked through a third party site however both the website & confirmation email advised would not have utensils/kitchen crockery. I'd called up to ask as was unsure if needed to buy own, but the property came with everything which was great & saved us the hassle but poorly advertised and we were informed via telephone they were 'unsure'. The beds were uncomfortable but the property was really clean and mostly slept on the sofas because they were comfier. No Internet/WiFi which isn't great as we couldn't utilise the TV service I.e. Netflix etc had to hotspot the TV from mobile phone & the connection wasn't great out there. Overall a comfy stay and would recommend for couples and they have larger lodges for families.

  We really enjoyed our stay here, the lodge and grounds are beautiful.

  We had a little issue when we arrived but this was sorted really quickly and the staff were helpful. The listing does state there is no WiFi, you can get signal if you are in the car park but also to note phone signal is non existent when you are in the lodge so if you are staying for longer than a few days this is something to consider. The kitchen had everything we needed bar a cheese grater, the bedrooms are large enough and the beds comfy. The hot tub was lovely and always warm. Something to be aware of is that Silverwood hold weddings, there was one on the day we arrived, it does get quite noisy into the night (As most weddings do!) But the rest of our week was blissfully quiet. We enjoyed our week here and would stay again.
