About this property

Located in the heart of the left bank is the 6th Arrondissement, considered the quintessential Paris neighbourhood by Parisians and visitors alike. This neighbourhood is home to the Saint-Germain Quarter and the superb Apartment Delano. This lively and enchanting area exudes the charms of Parisian daily life and is famous for its bohemian atmosphere. One-bedroom Apartment Delano is situated on the second floor of a 19th-century building and perfectly blends traditional elements with modern and contemporary design. A wood-panelled hallway, parquet flooring, classic architectural light mouldings, and a fusion of vintage and sleek minimalist décor create a charming old-world vibe.

As you enter the front door, you’ll step into a narrow hallway painted white with parquet flooring, adding a touch of warmth. It is tastefully furnished with a vintage shabby chic credenza offering a charming and eclectic touch which contrasts beautifully with the retro steel and leather chair. The living area is bathed in natural light thanks to the double-glazed portes fenêtres and high ceilings. The white décor with pops of red accents adds a stylish and vibrant touch to the space. It is thoughtfully decorated with a sofa and retro armchairs and is contemporary and comfortable. The parquet flooring adds warmth to the space, as does the modern art adorning the walls.

The well-equipped kitchen offers ample space and is equipped with sleek white modern units, creating a clean and contemporary look.

A rustic wooden shelf serves as a stylish divider, adding a touch of warmth and character whilst effectively separating the kitchen from the living area. A separate dining area provides a charming space for entertaining, featuring a quirky blend of old and new elements. The vintage dining table is surrounded by four retro chairs creating a delightful mix of styles. Adding to the eclectic charm of this room is a contemporary red sideboard that takes centre stage, adorned with a large gilt mirror, adding a touch of elegance and reflecting the uniqueness of the space.

The bedroom continues the theme of white with accents of red. The large, double-glazed window offers a view of the courtyard allowing the room to be flooded with natural light. It features a comfortable queen-sized bed, complimented by stylish vintage mirrors, a contemporary red dresser and a parquet floor. This room is a perfect haven of calm and relaxation after a long day of sightseeing or shopping.

The ensuite bathroom is generously sized and separated from the bedroom by a curtain. It has warm wood effect surfaces and cupboards and is equipped with a bathtub, shower head, vanity basin, unit, and built-in closet. The WC is conveniently located separately and can be reached from the hallway.

The Saint-Germain de Pres area is an iconic neighbourhood in the 6th Arrondissement and is famous for its bohemian atmosphere and historic cafes. It has been a gathering place for writers, artists and intellectuals, including Jen-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir.
Just a few steps from Apartment Delano is the stunning Jardin du Luxembourg. One of the largest green spaces in Paris, you cannot fail to fall in love with its beautifully landscaped gardens, tree-lined promenades and picturesque Medici fountain. The Luxembourg Palace is found in the Jardin and is the seat of the French Senate. Whilst it is not open to the public, the stunning façade and surrounding gardens are worth a visit.

Rue de la Huchette is not far away, a colourful and bustling tourist area full of small, mainly Greek, restaurants and little shops selling gifts. If you prefer to amble down a more Parisienne street, you should visit Rue Mouffetard. This bustling, lively street is the core of the Latin quarter. Its narrow streets lined with bars and restaurants are popular in Paris nightlife. You don’t need a camera to picture yourself here! Imagine strolling through the lane filling your picnic basket with fresh fromage, a baguette, maybe a bottle of wine, and some delicious patisserie. Once your basket is full, you could head to Jardin des Plantes to enjoy the fruits of your shopping trip.

A botanical garden originally used to grow medicinal herbs for royalty, it is now another of the city’s hidden gems. It hosts lush gardens, including an alpine and rose garden and three large greenhouses. Here, you also will find a zoo and natural history museum, a great place to spend the day with children.

The 6th Arrondissement and Latin Quarter is the perfect base for cultural landmarks, picturesque streets and a vibrant arts scene.

Whether exploring its historic sites, strolling through its gardens or simply enjoying the café culture, you are sure not to be stuck for things to do. However, the affordable and efficient Paris public transport network will ensure you are never bored as Paris and its iconic landmarks are within your reach.
