About this property

Set in the scenic Provençal countryside just a short drive from Arles, Pave Rose is a stunning holiday home with beautiful gardens, towering pine trees, striking sculptures and a glorious swimming pool.

With great attention to detail, this welcoming abode exudes sophistication alongside an artistic and relaxed vibe across its three floors. The light-filled lounge features sumptuous sofas, leading through to a wonderfully equipped kitchen and dining area, or you may prefer to chill out in the TV lounge. We love the works of art across Pave Rose, adding to the contemporary yet characterful ambience of this special home.

Up to 8 guests can rest peacefully here. Across the first and second floors, all four bedrooms boast king or queen-size double beds and private bathrooms. We especially love the master bedroom with its huge double bed, dressing room and spacious bathroom.

Outside, the carefully landscaped grounds welcome you with an array of outdoor amenities designed to make the most of Provence’s glorious weather. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the saltwater swimming pool or gather by the barbecue for al-fresco dining on the expansive terrace, followed perhaps by a game of boules. With its verdant garden, shady trees and ample space, Pave Rose effortlessly blends outdoor living with relaxation.

This villa is ideally situated just a short drive from Arles, a historic town known for its Roman heritage and vibrant cultural scene. Explore the charming cobbled streets, visit the ancient amphitheatre, or indulge in local Provencal cuisine at one of the many charming restaurants.

A little further afield, be captivated by the landscapes of the Camargue or venture to Les Alpilles for picture-perfect villages amongst the olive groves. Whether you seek history, culture, or simply the natural beauty of the countryside, Pave Rose’s location offers the best of both worlds.

Pave Rose is situated in the Bouches-du-Rhône region of southern France. This elegant home is set just off the road leading to Arles (7km) in one direction and Fontvieille (7.5km) in the other, around 40 minutes from both Nimes and Avignon.

Arles is a town rich in history, art, and natural beauty. Famous for its remarkable Roman ruins and its association with Vincent van Gogh, this lively Provençal town offers something captivating at every corner. Wander through the ancient Roman Amphitheatre, explore local art galleries, stock up on seasonal produce at atmospheric markets and admire the handsome architecture that reflects centuries of history. Arles is also famous for hosting the annual summer Photography Festival, Les Recontres d’Arles.

In the opposite direction, Fontvieille (7.5km) exudes authentic charm in picturesque surroundings. Hike the renowned windmill trail, where the famous Moulin de Daudet, featured in Alphonse Daudet’s cherished stories, stands. Not far from the village, a visit to the Abbaye de Montmajour (10km) is also highly recommended.

For those in search of natural splendour, Les Alpilles provides some of the most breathtaking scenery in Provence. The picturesque villages of Les Baux-de-Provence (16km) and Maussane-les-Alpilles (15.5km) are set against a backdrop of limestone hills, olive groves, and pine forests. Head a little further to Saint-Rémy for more art galleries, vineyards and a wonderful Wednesday morning market.

To the south, the Camargue offers a unique natural landscape, home to wild white horses, flamingos, and salt flats, best explored on foot, bike or horseback.  The area is also known for its traditional bullfighting and charming villages, providing a window into local culture. Drive through the Camargue and within 45 minutes you can be paddling in the Mediterranean sea at Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (44km).

Lastly, Nimes (38km) is a worthy day trip for history enthusiasts and Francophiles. The city boasts exceptional Roman architecture, from the well-preserved Arènes de Nîmes to the magnificent Maison Carrée. Just outside the city lies the iconic Le Pont du Gard (40km), a stunning Roman aqueduct that is now a unesco World Heritage site, the perfect place for picnics by the river, canoeing and walks in an incredible environment.
