Beyond stone walls and shaded olive trees, Maison Queirons reveals its centuries-old soul. Once a bergerie in the early 1700s, this handsome mas provençal has evolved over time, extended in the 18th and 19th centuries, and completely restored in recent years to marry historical charm with modern refinement. Today, it offers a charming escape for up to 8 guests, complete with four air-conditioned en suite bedrooms and a gorgeous swimming pool.

Stepping through the gates of the landscaped garden, you're welcomed by the scent of rosemary and the soft rustle of leaves. Days here revolve around the swimming pool (that can be heated for a supplement), flanked by comfortable sun loungers. A shaded summer kitchen with an electric plancha, dishwasher, ice maker, and Nespresso machine, invites lingering al-fresco lunches, while the outdoor lounge becomes a natural gathering point at dusk.

Inside, the living spaces flow effortlessly from the ground floor: a characterful kitchen-dining room with contemporary appliances alongside two beautifully decorated lounges that open directly onto the terrace. Upstairs, two bedrooms boast large beds and en-suite shower rooms. Across the garden, a separate annexe offers two further bedrooms with king-size double beds (that can be made up as twins on request) and lovely bathrooms, each bedroom accessed independently.  

The location adds another layer of magic. Just 1km away, Maussane-les-Alpilles unfolds with its vibrant village square, weekly market, little shops and celebrated restaurants. From the boulangerie for your morning croissants to a sunset aperitif on a café terrace, everything is a short distance away. A little further afield, discover the beauty of Les Alpilles as you venture to the likes of Saint-Rémy, Les Baux-de-Provence and Arles.

Whether you're basking by the pool, enjoying a slow Provençal lunch on the terrace, or wandering into the village for dinner, Maison Queirons invites you to experience the rhythm of southern France at its most authentic and effortless.

Tucked into the beautiful southern slopes of the Alpilles, the charming village of Maussane-les-Alpilles offers an enchanting Provençal escape. Maison Queirons is located in an attractive residential area on the edge of the village, around 1km from the centre with its restaurants, café terraces, little shops, tree-lined squares and warm local spirit - it is possible to walk (no pavements along the country roads) or it is a very short drive. Head to the bustling market on a Thursday morning and don’t miss the wonderful olive oil produced in the village.
Surrounded by olive groves and dramatic limestone peaks, Maussane-les-Alpilles is the perfect base for those seeking to explore the cultural riches and natural beauty of this iconic region. Just a stone’s throw away lies Paradou (3km), a delightful neighbouring village that embodies rustic charm. Here, the legendary Bistrot du Paradou serves up unforgettable long lunches – a quintessentially French experience renowned for its convivial atmosphere and traditional fare. For a more active outing, Paradou also offers local bike hire, ideal for leisurely rides passing olive groves, pine forests and and picturesque scenery. 

No visit would be complete without discovering Les Baux-de-Provence (4km), one of France’s most beautiful villages. Perched dramatically atop a rocky outcrop, its medieval ruins and cobbled streets offer spectacular views over the Vallée des Baux. The surrounding landscapes are a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with well-marked trails for walking, hiking, and even horse-riding amid fragrant garrigue and olive terraces.

A short drive brings you to the vibrant town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (10km), brimming with art galleries, chic boutiques and a famous Wednesday morning market. History lovers can explore the nearby Roman ruins of Glanum, while those with a passion for the arts will find echoes of Van Gogh at every turn.

Further afield, the Roman city of Arles (20km) enchants with its amphitheatre and artistic heritage, while Avignon (30km), Le Pont du Gard (41km), and Nîmes (47km) make for captivating day trips rich in history, architecture and unesco World Heritage sites.
