Guests consistently praise Ben View Cottage for its spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful garden. The property is noted for its cleanliness, comfort, and updated facilities, including a variety of games and books. Its location in Connemara is central to scenic walks and beaches, with easy access to local towns. The personal touches and helpfulness of the owner contribute to a welcoming and relaxing stay.
Reviews frequently highlight the property's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. One mention of a musty smell in a downstairs bedroom prevents a perfect score.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to mountain walks, beaches, and local attractions. Its central position in Connemara and the quiet, peaceful surroundings are appreciated by guests.
The comfort of the house is often mentioned, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the house homely. The presence of stairgates and en suite bedrooms cater to guests' needs, although a mention of the need for additional stairgates for small children slightly affects the score.
Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with a well-stocked kitchen and ample space. Updates to bathrooms and furniture are noted positively. However, a non-functional WiFi for personal devices and a musty smell in one bedroom indicate room for improvement.
