Guests say

Fernwood in Killarney offers a spacious and comfortable stay with a secure garden and ample parking. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to town and its suitability for families and pets. While some maintenance issues are noted, the house's warmth and location are consistently praised.

Reviews present a mixed view on cleanliness. Some guests found the property clean and tidy, while others reported issues with shower cleanliness, cobwebs, and dirty kitchen appliances. The inconsistency leads to a slightly above average score.

The location is generally well-received, being close to amenities and Killarney town centre. However, some guests noted the roads can be dangerous to walk at night, and the property is further from shops and pubs than expected, slightly reducing the score.

Guests found the house to be spacious and the beds comfortable, suitable for large groups and families. Some mentioned dated furniture and the need for modernisation, which slightly affects the comfort score.

Facilities are adequate with some rooms having en-suite toilets, but guests reported issues with hot water, heating, and kitchen equipment. Maintenance concerns such as blocked drains and broken appliances have been highlighted, leading to a score reflecting room for improvement.

There is insufficient information regarding the presence of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, as no reviews specifically mention these aspects. Therefore, a score cannot be given in this category.

A short drive from Killarney and a great base for exploring the area.

The beds were comfortable, plenty of showers for the size of the house. We would definitely stay again as it can be hard to get a house of this size close enough to Killarney There was just a couple of maintenance issues that stopped me from giving it 5 stars. If the few repair jobs like the patio door couldn't be opened and the door of the dryer was broken were done it would be perfect. A few small repairs could make such a difference. . All in all I would recommend fernwood.
