About this property

Lanes Cottage is a charming Grade II listed property, dating back to the 1850s, in the wonderful market town of Chipping Campden. Sleeping three guests in two bedrooms, it is the perfect base for a small family or couple wanting to explore the Cotswolds.

Be welcomed into the homely sitting room that is home to a welcoming two-seater sofa and two armchairs for you to slouch into after a long day, whilst the open fire keeps you warm and comforted.

Separated from the sitting room by the staircase you will find the dining room which has a wooden table where you can eat heart-warming meals and play games with the selection that are on offer.

Two steps lead you into the well-equipped kitchen that is perfect for making delicious home-cooked meals with your loved ones.

Completing the ground floor is a stylish shower room with a lovely Velux window and a walk-in shower, perfect for a wash down before heading to bed.

When sleep calls, head upstairs where you will find two inviting bedrooms; the master has an eye-catching Cotswold stone chimney breast and fitted wardrobes with a king-size bed, the second bedroom has an attractive Cotswold stone feature wall and a double bed where you can get lost in the pages of a good book from the selection the owners have on offer.

In the morning, make yourself a warming mug of tea and head out into the patio garden, which has stone steps leading you up to the lawned tiers which are bordered by pretty shrubs, as you continue on the path to the top terrace which houses a table set, perfect for al fresco dining and breathing in the fresh country air.

Enjoy an invigorating shower and head out for the day into the heart of Chipping Campden, which is one of the best-loved and most picturesque market towns in England, where you can enjoy a warming tea at Campden Coffee Co before heading to Little Oak Vineyard, an award-winning vineyard where you can try and buy wonderful wines.

Head over to Hidecote, home to sizeable 20th century gardens with narrow paths, lawn games, two lovely cafés and great views, run by the National Trust.

Just a short car ride will put you in Moreton-in-Marsh where you can visit Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre where you can enjoy the stunning grounds, meander around the garden centre and enjoy a refreshing drink at the café.

A fun day out is spent at All Things Wild in Evesham, a fantastic year-round family attraction, comprising of animals, dinosaurs, soft play and much more to discover!

Lanes Cottage is a wonderful base for creating memories that will last forever.

This market town defines the saying "good things come in small packages" as it proves itself to be a wonderful place for tourists to stay. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. Nearby there are several beautiful, formal gardens for you to wander through. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique. For a dose of famous history, head to the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon just 12 short miles away, it offers some charming little buildings, bookshops, theatres and museums.

Well equipped kitchen, and gorgeous garden which we were lucky enough with some spring sunshine to enjoy. Perfect location to enjoy some great circular walks around surrounding countryside and easy access to other Cotswolds villages. Wonderful stay. Thankyou

Bed was very comfortable and although we had a lot of rain and didn’t get to enjoy it, the garden was a really good size. Fab location and despite being on the high street was very quiet.

Very comfortable beds Improvements needed When paying £230 a night we hoped we might have found a bag (£10) of logs. The few small bits left didn't even keep us going for the first night. The open fire is a selling point. Although there were 3 toilet rolls left. They were cheap and didn't last the 2days. These touches I felt would have improved the stay. Apart from that all was very good.
