Take a day out to Westonbirt National Arboretum (4 miles) for beautiful walks, or Cotswold Water Park (10 miles) is a great opportunity to try some water based activities. The Roman town of Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds, is 10 miles away and well worth a visit to learn about its Roman history, with the Corinium Museum being a highlight.
It is also the perfect spot for attending the Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials. Just outside Tetbury is Chavenage House, a beautiful Elizabethan manor house that is open to the public all year round. After a busy day exploring, make your way back to this charming cottage ideally located just off the town centre.
