  Cooker hood not working so we had cooking smells all over the place.

  Bulbs in 2 lamps blown. Frequently run out of hot water for bath/shower. Most of the taps need replacing. We didn't appreciate the fact that when we arrived at the place, there was bits of food and crumbs all over the dining table! The top of the fridge/freezer was filthy as well. More attention to detail needed for cleaning and also we didn't appreciate finding someone's used earplugs under the bed. All this little issues are totally avoidable. However, the cottage was in a lovely location right near a lake (so we could have a cheaky swim) and the host was very helpful. The ouitdoor pool was only 2 mins walk away and again that was lovely. We appreciated the Christmas tree and also grateful for the host leaving wood, kindling and firelighters for the log burner. Despite the little moans above we would come back to this cottage again provided that it was cleaned thorougly prior to our arrival. We got our deposit back promptly.

  We had a great couple of days here, walking , sitting in the sun and generally enjoying the Cotswolds. Thanks to R & Y.Thank you so much for having us, I had so much fun especially on the quad bikes and singing in the tree house. your house is beautiful - RThank you for such a lovely weekend in your beautiful house! I had an amazing time going on countryside walks and zooming around on the quad bikes!!!! You were also welcoming, thank you - CThank you so much for an amazing three days! I had an amazing time on the quad bikes, our little trip to Daylesford and the amazing cocktail night in your beautiful home!   The lower mill estate is super.

  3 pools, 2 playgrounds, a great restaurant and a pizza shack. It’s ideal for families with loads to do. The property is close to loads of amazing things to do from water sports to days out with young kids. Mary, the owner of the cottage was really friendly and helpful prior to our stay. The cottage I would describe as ‘lived in ‘ and comfortable. It’s not polished but a great location, and has all the bits you need in the kitchen. We had a 2 year old with us and prob not the best for that age group. Lots of lovely jugs around which I put in the cupboard for our stay; a cupboard with lots of hanging cups and an open stone fire surround. But fine for slightly older children. A great stay and we’d recommend it to others.

  The location was amazing. The amount of wildlife we saw from right outside the cottage was incredible. The cottage was comfortable, very roomy and felt really homely. The main shower leaked through the floor into the hallway downstairs. However Cotswolds Hideaways sent out a plumber the next working day and were very apologetic and kind throughout the process. Overall we would recommend the place as a quiet retreat!Other than having a couple of issues, we've had a wonderful time here. Its been fantastic being so surrounded by nature and seeing owls, deer,hares + birds of pray. Monster the cat was a lovely addition to our night time walks, we will miss his vocal welcome every time we exited the cottage! Overall a brilliant experience! 🙂
