About this property

Toddington 4.5 miles. Cotswold Cottage is a welcoming house resting in Ford, Gloucestershire, enjoying countryside views, private parking, an enclosed garden, and a characterful woodburning stove. Well suited to families, friends, contractors, and guests travelling with dogs, this traditional Cotswold retreat provides an inviting base for exploring one of England’s most picturesque regions. Step inside and discover a home brimming with rural charm. Exposed beams and a striking stone inglenook fireplace create a sense of history in the sitting room, where the crackle of the woodburning stove sets the scene after days spent out in the countryside. Gather around for board games, challenge one another to a game of table football, or simply unwind with a favourite film on the TV.

The kitchen/diner offers a sociable setting for preparing hearty breakfasts and evening meals, with ample space to linger over conversations and plan the adventures ahead. Three thoughtfully arranged bedrooms provide flexible sleeping arrangements for a variety of groups, while the enclosed garden offers plenty of space to enjoy the fresh Gloucestershire air. Whether dining outside, watching pets stretch their legs on the lawn, or admiring the surrounding scenery, the outdoor space adds another layer to the cottage’s appeal. Those looking to enhance their stay can even arrange for a Lazy Spa hot tub to be ready for arrival. Beyond the cottage, the beautiful Cotswolds await.

Explore Stow-on-the-Wold, famed for its honey-coloured buildings, historic market square, and independent shops. Discover Bourton-on-the-Water, where family-friendly attractions such as Birdland Park & Gardens and the Model Village sit alongside charming riverside walks. For a wider selection of attractions, head to Cheltenham, home to elegant Regency architecture, Montpellier Gardens, and The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum. With rolling countryside, quintessential villages, and memorable days out in every direction, Cotswold Cottage is perfectly placed for a Gloucestershire getaway.

Resting in the beautiful Tewkesbury Borough of north Gloucestershire at the edge of the Costwolds aonb, is the charming village of Toddington, split into two towns both the 'Old Town' and the 'New Town'. The village is home to a quaint country pub called The Pheasant, a village shop, St Andrew's church, a railway station, and the dramatic Toddington Manor. The 19th century manor was bought by award-winning artist Damien Hirst in 2005, and is used for his extensive art collection, boasting 100 acres of woodland, two lakes and babbling streams. The large spa town of Cheltenham is just a short journey away, hosting a whole heap of culture including an array of festivals including the Cheltenham Literature Festival, Jazz Festival, Science Festival, Music Festival, Cricket Festival, and the Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival, as well as gorgeous Regency architecture, art gallery, museums, and fun-filled attractions. Gloucester city centre holds a grand cathedral, Blackfriars 13th century medieval Priory site, and a Guildhall. Toddington is a fantastic spot to explore the Cotswolds, exploring the various rolling hills, walking trails and scenic landscapes.
