Originally the coach house to the adjacent parsonage (now the owner’s home), it has been refurbished to an excellent standard, and enjoys use of a games room with full-size snooker table, professional table football and outdoor table tennis table. An ideal holiday base for touring the Peak District, close to Alton Towers, Carsington Water, Matlock, Chatsworth House, the National Tramway Museum and the Midland Railway Centre. Many factory shops in the area including the Denby Potteries. Sports centre, tennis, riding, golf and swimming at Alfreton (2 miles). Derby 12 miles. Shops 200 yards.
The Limes (RP2) and The Coach House (RDG) can be booked together to accommodate up to 20 guests.

I found the cottage to be in need of repair and a very deep clean. Front room had a large crack on the ceiling from water damage with plaster hanging down, missing paint patches on wall, the carpet was stained and had what looked like cigarette burns. Kitchen has a fridge freezer, the fridge badly smelt the freezer was all iced up and the whole thing leaked water on the floor all the time. the microwave had dried food splatters, the oven and oven tray was so dirty I refused to use it. Main bedroom double bed was hard and uncomfortable the en suite shower was small with mould on ceiling and the grouting so we tried the shower over the bath but by the time you had finished you was wadding ankle deep in water. That bathroom also had mould, a big crack in the bath panel and smelled really strong of cigarette smoke. On the edges of all the carpet and banister was thick with dust. listing said parking for 4 cars we only had 1 but found the parking really tight and awkward. I have looked for reviews since i got home and found 1 that mentioned ceiling and lack of cleanliness from 15 months ago. had i known state of the property I wouldn't of booked a stay there.
