Had a great extended weekend with friends. The lodge has all of amenities that you will ever need for a break (including welcome gifts). It really felt like you were in great hands there, almost like there were many trips done before you where feedback was given and absorbed until there was nothing else left to improve. Designated driver is required. Matlock baths + Bakewell are great. Friendly area, nice walks. Beds comfy and lodge is a tardis! Great value, would stay again 100%. Ps. Headphones were left in lodge, owner is sending them at no extra cost. Top man

The lodge was well outfitted and anything needed for a self catering holiday was available. It has an idyllic setting with beautiful views and the hot tub is luxurious. There was plenty of accessible warm water for showers or baths and a washing machine available for those who want it. The lodge has ceiling windows which were opened on the hottest days. Outside is a small decking area with table, chairs and a gas barbecue, which was welcome. Parking is close, so easy unpacking and packing of car. Plus a nearby electric point for cars is available and free daytime.
